Today was the LVMOC (http://www.LVMOC.net) fundraiser for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (http://www.bcrfcure.org/)...

We raised over $10,000.00 today! Specifically, we raised $10,044, with one raffle that isn't ending until Oct 15th.

Not bad for a little car club of about 100 members stuck up in the northeast corner of Pennsylvania, if I don't mind saying so myself!

That disease has hit my family hard; my mother died from breast cancer, my dad's second wife died from it, my sister had a double mastectomy in July, and my wife has had two fibroid masses removed over the last 10 years. The Breast Cancer Research Foundation is rated as one of the top charities in the world, returning 85% of its money directly to its charter; they provide "critical funding for innovative clinical and translational research at leading medical centers worldwide".

I left the house early today, at 7AM, and I just got home. I'm beat. I cracked a Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout, I'm watching the Cryboys smack the Bungles and I'm reviewing the pictures from today.. Go, Steelers!
