Interesting stat.....

Top Sack Leaders
John Abraham- 7
James Harrison- 6.5
Joey Porter- 5.5
LaMarr Woodley- 5.5
Albert Haynesworth- 5

silverback and woodley are at 2 and 4. also interesting to see joey porter in there....

if both these guys keep it up, we'll be sending 2 possibly even 3 linebackers to the probowl with farrior. i dont know about you guys but i get excited when our defense gets on the field, they are fun to watch.

I just bought a Harrison replithentic jersey ,for 99 bucks, before the Ratbirds game. Took me long enough  I think it's gonna be worn out after this season because I'm wearing it every week.

how badass would it be to have harrison and woodley as the starting outside linebackers on the AFC team?

I don't know...

I think it would be even better to see them starting on the AFC championship team in the superbowl!!

Best LB crew since 1994 Blitzburgh.

They would've had an extra few sacks tonight if the Jags blockers didn't tackle them.

actually woody and harry are 2 and 3 ( cant bump wood down cause his last name starts with a "w").

most on the list...

http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?tabSeq=0&statisticCategory=SACKS&conference=null&season=2008&seasonType=REG

....are DT or DE

with exception of d. ware, it should come to no suprise that steelers lb's dominate the top ten. :tt02: (and yes, porter is still a steeler lb).

dick lebeau serioulsy needs to be in the hall of fame.

Back when I played hockey, we had a rule...

you NEVER WASH YOUR JERSEY (or equipment) until AFTER the season!!!!

:chuckle: Not too shabby.

But my own personal moniker for the amazing duo is The Blitzhounds - Deebo & Wood at your service. :wink02:

the nicest thing is that Wood is in his first year as a starter do you imagine what he'll be like in 3 years ?

Plus we have Timmons who is getting better with times, did you see how good he is when he drops in coverage ? and hopefully Bruce Davis will follow those steps and we will have the toughest LB corps for years

GO STEELERS

I really like watching them to play they seem to be in the backfield on everyplay Woodley should have had another sack but he was tackled before he got to the quarterback and the penalty wasn't called.

Its great to see we can truly bring pressure from the outsides the most and get sacks. Harrison and Woodley are the best Outside Linebacker tandem in the NFL and i think we have Harrison fighting to be the sack leader at the end of the season!

"and i think we have Harrison fighting to be the sack leader at the end of the season!"

That would be the __it! Either him or The Wood would be awesome.

Silverback did a good job of composing himself after the fake roughing the passer penalty called on him....

Woodley has a serious bullrush....I love the play he knocked Fred Taylor right into Gerrard hahahahaha
