I'm glad we got a bye week this week so Big Ben, Willie and everyone else can get healthy and take a break. But with no Steelers football this week how do you guys manage a will watch other games, but im about ready to pop in the The Road to Super Bowl XL (4 DVD's) I will watch each dvd in its entirely, over the next couple of days

Have servers to patch along with other maintenance to do in our datacenter this weekend, so I'll be at work doing that. Bye week was timed perfectly.

I am SO glad this is a bye week. The foliage is peaking this weekend here in the Poconos, and I'm taking the family for a drive; maybe to the top of Big Pocono (highest point in NE PA), maybe to Jim Thorpe. I'll take the camera, and try to get some nice exposures.

For all the worry about money... sometimes it is important to get refocused. Not that I don't want more than the basics... but I have the basics covered, and all I'm trying to do is get some gravy, some icing. We have a roof, and food, and clothes and heat and water. And we can enjoy the air and the colors for free.

The early season Sundays are hard for me, because I work on Saturdays. On Sundays I have to choose between house/yard work and the Steelers, and the Steelers will win. This year I've been lucky to have two Sunday night games and a Monday nighter, and now a bye.

This time, the Eagles are in town playing the 49ers, and my wife is from Philadelphia, so we're going to that game instead.

Normally, I'd probably just play video games.

Going to the Las Vegas Renaissance Faire on Sunday. Worked out perfect for me because we are tied up Saturday with other things and I don't have to miss the Steelers to do it. Last week I went to an art fair in Boulder City on Sunday because they played the late game. Worked out pretty good so far this year. I know some of you like the early games, but us West Coasters like the later games.

I need the bye week to get in some family time, before I go AWOL on sundays until Feb 2nd.

But I still have last weeks game, SBXL and all 5 of the "Americas Game- Steeler Super Bowl win" episodes on my PVR hard drive. :)

I'll probably upload the Steelers' playoff games vs the Colts & Broncos to my dvd recorder, so I can burn them to disc. It'll be cool to relive it all again - the power and the glory! :tt03:

Good thinking, If she cooks while she's there that would be like hitting the trifecta.

My wife has no concept of Bye weeks so I can look like a hero by doing something with her this weekend.

It's a good weekend to put a fresh coat of paint on the wall in the STEELERS ROOM, My wife calls the color "dijon" we all know it's gold, it goes realy well with Steelers pictures, artwork, and the Iron City beer can collection.

Stick to the washing machine.....all cooking/food prep areas are off limits when it comes to that....lol

On second thought you could be pushing your luck if she cooks for you.

You might not be able to get her to leave in the morning.

Spend time with The Steelers Princess that lives in my house, do some chores to keep the wife off my back, and pray to God that the next two weeks go faster than the last one.

You just got to be glad we get a chance to get Ben and the rest of the starters healthy. Rest in the knowledge that our back ups got some good Playing time and they will go back to resting in case a starter goes out.

I spend my bye week getting things done around the house and watching the other NFL games that are broadcast, cheering even harder for the Bungles, Clowns and Rats' opponents!

Yeah, that game sure does have some um...... Karmic implications :chuckle:

I'll sit back and enjoy football, though I will concentrate more on our division and wishing horrible losses to all!
