MIAMI (AP)óRonnie Brown and two Miami Dolphins teammates have been fined $10,000 each by the NFL for excessive celebrating.

The league said Friday that choreographed celebrations by two or more players arenít permitted.

After Brown scored a touchdown Sunday against San Diego, he performed a dance shuffle in the end zone with offensive linemen Vernon Carey and Ikechuku Ndukwe.

The NFL has levied a $25,000 fine against Arizona Cardinals safety Adrian Wilson for the hit that left Buffalo Bills quarterback Trent Edwards with a concussion in Week 5.

According to the league, the hit on Edwards violated the rule stating that "a defensive player must not unnecessarily or violently throw him down and land on top of him with all or most of the defender's weight." The rule compels defensive players to "strive to wrap up or cradle the passer with the defensive player's arms."

A penalty was not called on the play.

$25K for a non-call, thats ridiculous. Im still waiting for Rogers fine :banging:

This just in: The NFL will be giving cattle prods to offensive linemen in order to make sure QB's get touched as little as possible.

Goodell is a jerk. I'm tired of him. He's done nothing to help this league except crack down on the troublemakers....but his sieve is awful wide.

Harrison?
Ward?
Wilson?
Ronnie Brown and Crew?

Sheesh. :coffee:

Let the men play. This is FOOTBALL Roger, not golf.

MORE!!

Philadelphia Eagles rookies DeSean Jackson and Quintin Demps each were fined $10,000 for posing after Jackson scored on a punt return in the Eagles' 23-17 loss to the Redskins last weekend.

The two celebrated by turning toward each other, with arms folded and heads bobbing -- a violation of the league's rule against "prolonged, excessive, premeditated or choreographed celebrations, particularly after scoring plays."

It is real sad that you can't say anything or hit anybody or you will get fined. What is this league coming to? Pretty soon it will be flag football.

Once again... I have no problem with them stopping the celebrations... they had gotten WAY out of control.

This is a football game, not a soap opera, or a launch pad for personal notoriety... T.O. and Ocho stinko take note.

I wonder how long it will take for you to get fined for just touching the field
