Sure, the Steelers lost today in a very tough manner. But they fought all the way to the end.

After 7 games and the 8th week of the season, the Steelers Currently stand at 5-2 and in first place. Think of how many teams that would love to be in our position right now.

The Defense played tremendously. They had tough spots to deal with, and until the last possession that the Giants Scored a TD on, THEY DID NOT BREAK

The Offense minus a few goof ups, has been decent.

This season is not lost. The Steelers can still make a good run at the postseason.

Let's all forget how horrible this game was, AND LETS GET READY TO PLAY THE REDSKINS.

WHO BELIEVES???

Holy Mother of God - a positive outlook! Very refreshing, Matt - thank you! :drink::tt02::applaudit:

If we were 2-5, there'd be cause for concern, but we're 5-2 and still atop the AFCN. Considering all of the injuries this team has faced this season to key players, we should be counting our blessings that we are where we are.

Onward and upward to Washington to put a beatin' on Campbell, Portis, Moss and the Skins! :tt03:

We'll be there in the end I have no doubt. Our D is playing as good as I've ever seen, that will keep us in the running while the O sorts things out.

Does this team have problems? Yep. We knew coming into this year that the OL was going to be a week point. Our offense seems to sputter at some of the wrong times.

But over all? This team is very strong. I'd have to say that except for the 04-05 Steelers squads, this is the best team of the decade right now.

Wow finally some positive light. Some people are acting like it's the end of the world. We lost one game people, which means we're 5-2. There's still 9 more games people

i dont have any bad feelings about this game. SOUR feelings yeah, i was at work when watching the game and when i ate my dinner it tasted like acid no lies, but one thing for sure is that im going to have to deal with my friends and co workers since im from jersey. But overall i see we are one of the best teams in the league no question, we just need to accomodate our mistakes like any other team.

I'll never give up....but seriously whens the last time we've beaten a powerhouse???

This ones tough to swallow and it doesn't help that we've got injury problems all over the place

it'll be nice if the steelers get to play a game with all their starters. even their long snapper got hurt, that really cost them. they lost their saftey and cornerbacks and wr a lb and they have their 3rd string rb starting so that means their 4th & 5th string practice squad rb's and a guy they cut in preseason are now 2nd and 3rd string. they didn't seem to get a break and they made stupid mistakes, but even with all those mistakes and their 2nd worst played game of the year they still had a good chance to win. when they play their best they can beat anybody, if healthy they have a legit shot at the super bowl. can't win every game, if a team loses 4 or 5 games that's still a good year, at least they lost to a nfc team.

Despite the multitude of injuries, we're still #1 in the AFCN. We'll be fine...and we'll come back strong against the Redskins. We won't lose 2 in a row :helmet:

in the last 17 out of 18 elections - If the Redskins lose their last home game before the election, the incumbent party loses the White House. If they win, the incumbent party stays in power. This didn't happen in the 2004 election though:

I believe.

I was quite disappointed & frustrated over the game during the day as the victory was well within our grasp and the game should of been secured. However i believe the team can learn from this game, hopefully the O will step it up a few notches & the whole team can give another showing we can all be proud of come MNF & beat the Redskins :tt03:

Thought I should bump this thread.

Remember folks, 6-3 still is a pretty good record. Sure we're tied with Baltimore now, but we can still make up the lost ground.

Don't give up, We got the Chargers next week. Believe that this team will come back and beat the San Diego Chargers!!!!

The Chargers do not present nearly the matchup problems on offense that the Colts do. Therefore, if the O doesn't screw it up, they should handle the Chargers pretty easily.

I'm to the point where I pretty much ignore it now and consider the source. For example, someone said they "survived" 2006. I personally survived 51-0 thumpings at the hands of the Browns in Three Rivers. I've actually seen this team TRULY blow and blow hard. The '06 season was a picnic compared to 1985-88.

Yesterday sucked but it is in the past. We can do nothing about the playcalling, execution, coaching, or lucky bounces....

Moving Forward, San Diego now has to pay for the BS we saw on the field yesterday!!! losing two at home already is not kosher!! AT ALL!

Yeah, that game reminded me of the Houston loss back when Maddox was QB. Felt like we just gave it away. You gotta be able to run the ball on the opposition 2 yard line......especially when their DT's are lighter than Lamaar Woodley.

But, nothing a few wins against the Chargers, Bengals and Patriots wouldnt cure.

Today's game was a tough loss. But I got over it quick when I saw the terrible towel get stopped on. (Ghost of Myron was awaken today, so watch out Titans!)

We have a first round bye and at least one game at home. It is good to get a loss out of the way, where a four game win out is not as much pressure as the winning streak we had going. We now have experience with the majority of the playoff bound teams (Some NFC too).

We're in good shape, just not positioned for another guaranteed AFC Championship game in da burgh. Who knows? Here we go Steelers!

If we play the Titans for the AFC Championship again, I doubt we'll make the same mistakes. Same as if we play the Giants and/or Colts again.

I was just hoping to get tickets for a Heinz Field AFC Championship game next month. Who knows, if the Titans choke? Wonder what Nashville is like in January? I wouldn't mind joining the Steelers Nation in painting it black and gold!
