View Full Version : I want to thank Dan Rooney

I would like to thank him for sitting Holmes this week. Even though the NFL is very competitive, I think it shows that any type of bad behavior is not going to be permitted. It feels great to know that not only do the Steelers win, but they win with class.

Look at a couple of instances this year. Dallas did not do anything to Pacman, they waited for the league to do something. Look at Matt Jones in Jacksonville. Jacksonville's front office turned the other check.

It is nice to know that the Steelers will never turn into the Bengals.

I agree. Seriously that's ridiculous.

Also, I can't believe that he is such a great athlete, and he must be EXTREMELY ambitious to be an NFL player, and smoke weed.

Ambition usually doesn't go along with potheads.

Rooney nevers lets Pittsburgh down and sitting him was the right choice and should straighten him up for awhile.

Good to see Santo apologize to every even his family and prove he is ready to come back and be a role model of the Steelers.

I love how the media made such a big deal out of Coughlin "disciplining" Plaxico, than as soon as they get a little desperate he throws him out there.

Stay classy Tom.

I'm glad the organization decided to sit #10 down.

I just wish Harrison would have been punished in some way... His crime was worse than Santo's.

laugh it up in here all you want but its not going to change anything come NOV 4.....(we should keep this stuff off of here though)

Dan did the right thing and Im very confident our team will focus now more then ever at putting the team first.

We're banged up but lets come together and put a hurting on the skins come MNF

I think most of the secondary posts were all in humor and were not meant as anything derogatory towards a specific candidate (at least their political views). And you're right it won't change the outcome on Nov 4.

Regardless of his political views, I admire Mr. Rooney for his ownership of the Steelers and nothing more.

As for the skins, we'll let's just get us some scalps!!!

Yes, please - we have an entire subforum formerly known as the Locker Room that has already been overrun with partisan pissing match threads.

Its a free country, so we are entitled to our opinions...Me? I like what I'm seeing there. I voted for Obama but lets agree to give whoever wins a chance, even if only a brief one. Meanwhile we are all friends here...McCain or Obama, either way Go Steelers!!!!:tt02::drink:

Anyway, I think Holmes is far more to blame for the fiasco against the Giants than Harrison's bad snap. He let the whole team down.
