KDDK is reporting that ben is undergoing an MRI for his right shoulder injury...and his status for Sunday night is unknown at this time.

I really think he needs to sit out a week or two - hopefully he won't be forced out any longer than that, though.

Hopefully its nothing serious. Sitting out a week or two isn't going to hurt either.

as long as he is ready for the stretch run come December. I feel pretty good with Leftwich keeping them afloat until then but I'd rather have Ben at the helm come December & January.

Get healthy Ben!

So does anyone else think the steelers are going to take their offensive line needs seriously this comming off season...
I look for at least one FA offensive line move and then draft at least 2 more in the early rounds....

Ben needs to sit for a few games.

We all know what happens when Ben is not at 100%.

Exactly....

Hey Ben..

Have a seat for the month of Novemeber. You are a warrior, we all know that. But you're worth a lot more to us healthy!!! Get better, then put us on your shoulders and take us for a ring!

If the Steelers want Big Ben to play all 8 years of his contract they must get offensive line help. This is taking years off his career.

I believe Leftwich can carry the load while Ben heals up.

Agreed that we are going to need Ben down the home stretch.

batch started weeks 9 and 10 of the 2005 season when ben went down and won them both.. maddox of course came in week 11 and lost, but hopefully we dont have to go that route. as long as he is healthy for the end run, we will be fine.

That QB sneak was pretty dumb in light of the fact that Ben was already hurting. He should have run Willie up in there. It was probably the right play to call, but you have to think of the long run with your stars.

As of right now they rated Ben as well as Heath as Doubtful for the game Sunday, but it is early.

Sit Ben and Heath it's the middle of the season and getting them healthy for the playoffs is key.

Leftwich should get this week's start and I wouldnt even mind seeing some "wildcat" type formations with Dixon in for a play or 2 here or there. It will at least give something else for opponents to think about later on whether they get ran again or not.

That's right. Ben had the knee surgrey and the Bengals took a cheap shot at him when he got back.I hope he sits and mends. We need him in January.
