Just interested in what your opinions are of Leftwich. I think he did a good job against Washington. I don't get to see many games up here in New England, but what I saw of the 2nd half in Monday's game impressed me. Fill an out-of-town fan in on what's up.:tt03:

Left did very well against the Deadskins...However, it's only one game..I feel he is too inconsistent, throws the ball too hard, and needs work with his accuracy.
He certainly is no Ben.

after seeing him monday, i'm now more confident that he could fill in and win two or three games for us.
i hope he does not have to.

I think he displayed a reminder to Ben about what Ben used to do and is capable of. I won't be disappointed if Ben dresses but Lefty starts. Ben could probably use the rest and Lefty should be familiar with the Colts.
Willie not starting bothers me though.

I think Lefty did a good job filling in Monday night. It looked like he had been there for awhile and that he hasn't missed a beat.
If he starts this Sunday, I'll be ok with it and if he starts for about 4 games and goes 3-1 or 2-2 that would be good to get Ben some rest and then push for the playoffs.

I'm glad we have him on the team; he's probably one of the best backups we could've found, and he'll probably be a starter somewhere else next year. He's obviously not the long-term answer, but it was a breath of fresh air when he came in for the second half of the Redskins game. He made veteran plays that Ben seems to have forgotten how to do at times this year.
So I'm glad that while Ben shakes off injury, or just generally gets his sh*t together (and he needs to), we have a guy we can fall back on without losing much.

Lefty came in managed the games and made the big plays he needed to get us the victory. I doubt he could play at that level game after game and i find him an amazing back up QB right now and will help him out dearly when he becomes a free agent for desperate teams out there.
