Rewind your DVR.

That last pick was not Ben's fault. Holmes had inside position on his guy and let the defender throw him aside like a doll.

Exactly - if Holmes runs through the route, he's in position to make the catch. Regardless, the O could very well cost us the game. Again.

Hines0wnz

I dont say it often, but this game was disgusting. Something isnt right with Ben and I dont mean just the O-line not blocking effectively. 3 INTs to a depleted secondary on a desperate team. This game is the epitome of why this team isnt highly regarded. I'm out before I get too heated up.

See you folks later.

AMEN!! I was thinking the same exact thing. The Colts just piled up on top of the Steeler player and prevented him from getting up quickly, last time I checked that is supposed to be a penalty. And yeah....I saw a TON of holding by the Colts that wasn't called!!! Totally disgusted with this game.

Just what I love....to be tied with the ratbirds!! :banging::banging::flap:

They had the game to lose. You kick the extra point and give your self a legitimate chance to win. Herm Edwards made an emotional crap shoot decision there, and he blew it big time.

Steelers need to evaluate, and correct mistakes, and drive on. We are still one of the premiere teams in the league. We fans are spoiled to think we will have an easy week all the time.

I agree a little with you but this whole game is played on emotions. If the Chiefs made that 2 point conversion people would say great job by Herm. OT is 50/50 if you dont win the toss you lose. 2pt. conversion is 50/50 also to me

Yep, ya got that right. Those who act as if they can't lose ever probably didn't go through the 1980's as most members of this board did, or in my case the present day 1991, 92, 1998, 1999, 2003, and 2006 seasons.

Keys to success:

-Bench Roethlisberger

-Start Gary Coleman (Leftwich) until Big Ben gets his act together and gets healthy

-Fire Bruce Arians

-Get a new offensive line

-DON'T STOP BLITZING!!! We blitzed, Manning got frustrated and unraveled. We sat back, and he picked us apart!

Thankfully, we are 6-3 having beat the Ratbirds. I am just worried if we don't get our O-line together and stop giving up stupid interceptions, we are going to be in for a rough time.

Sure, Ben probably shouldn't have played, but again, you also have to consider a risk/reward at times.

Guys, don't worry. Atleast one of the INT's indeed was Ben's fault. The man is injured. 6-3.. What is better 6-3 or 5-4 or even 1-8?

So you think it is a smart decision to play an injured franchise quarterback who keeps re-injuring old injuries when you have a backup that has proven himself worthy? Is it worth risking more (serious) injuries to your franchise quarterback in a game that isn't a must win?

No, but when the decision is made you have to trust the powers that be. It proved to be a dumb move, that's egg on their face, and now they'll have to move on and get ready for next week.

I'm just petrified that he is going to either : A) get seriously injured, or B) lose confidence in himself or worse, the team lose confidence in him... At his current level with his injuries or whatever is going on with him, I do not feel confident with him at QB and get very worried every time he drops back.

On the Ratliff pick it looked like Ben didnt have the arm strength but in other passes he looked terrific.. Its a lose against a premier team. The Giants and Colts had to comeback to beat us at home. We get Heath and Woodley back next week and continue on our trek to the playoffs.

I_Bleed_Black_And_Gold

The Giants and Colts had to comeback to beat us at home.

But, that is the worst part. We had both teams put away, and found a way to lose it. The Giants game I can brush off as a fluke because of the injuries, but today was sad. When you have the best defense in the league, and a top tier running game, it shouldn't be a problem to put a team away when you are ahead.

They never stopped but the Colts adjustment was to go into dink and dunk mode which is the kryptonite to LeBeau's crafty blitzing. re: vs Pats in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 & 2007 :coffee:
