My pics:

#1 OG Max Jean-Gilles from Georgia is a giant! 6'-4'' and 340. Manhandles opponents but has trouble with speed rushers. Put him on the right side with the TE next to him to pick up speed rushers.

#2 WR Hank Baskett from New Mexico. Average to good NFL speed but he is a high jump champion! 6'-3'' and 220 lbs.

#3 RB Lendale White from USC. 6'-2'' at 235 lbs. Size but nothing else extraordinary here. If you don't get him I wouldn't even draft a running back. All the other RB's are Willie Parkers size but slower.

#4 OLB Chad Greenway, Iowa. 6'-4'' and 240.

Maybe pick up Josh McCown from the Arizona Cardinals as a #2 backup QB (he got $1.4 mil for a one yr contract with the Cards last year). I say release Maddox and give the $900k (not counting another $100k bonus) he would get in 2007 to sign McCown. Or we could just draft a QB in the 5th.

It would be nice to get something out of Maddox. Who knows though, there are teams that are in a worse QB situation than we are..

I dont see Lendale sticking around for our pick in the second, let alone the 3rd. I'm fine with the idea of a WR in the second, but I dont see why we would take a OG in the first round. Chris K is just as big as Jean-Gilles, and I think the organization likes him. That, and you're not thinking of a Center. We all know Hartings isn't what he was last year, and I don't think he'll be any better next year.

you can always find a good olinemen late in the rounds that can be a career starter no point in rushing to get one when we might have a few good ones on our team already, essex may not have looked all that great but he did go against the second best d stat wise in the league his first start, then he went against freeny his second game and he didn't start, and then against the bengals, no excuse for him there but there is still some potential and the dude from utah (i know his name just don't know how to spell it so i ain't gonna attempt to) i have read that the staff really likes him, and i like what i've read in his scouting reports

if lendale is avalible when we pick in the first round i'd nab him cause he's gonna be awesome in the nfl and i think will have a better career then reggie bush. second round i think we go for a WR, we really need a deep threat, and the rest we just add depth to the online and defense

this year if we don't make the playoffs i think we are like the chiefs of last year but on the oppisite side of the ball. last year their d was horrible and then they focused on d in the draft and F.A., i think we'll do that in this draft but focus on offense, and if we don't make the playoffs it could be somewhat of a blessing in disquise cause we can get the weapons ben needs to take us over the hump and finally win the superbowl

I think we need a shutdown offensive lineman, someone like Ogden of the Ravens or Pace of the Rams. Ben needs that to keep him from having to roll out, and get hurt, so much. Just think, what if he could always count on that side being well protected? Actually a shutdown left guard is what we need to protect Ben's blind side. Not sure how difficult it is to move a guard from right to left but it can't be that tough.

They say Gilles manhandles opponents. I know that's college level but they don't say that about any other OL.

My top three picks can be rotated without complaint. I think they are all good selections.

Also, anyone know a place where I can post my signature so I can link it here?

For the draft I like LenDale White in the first. Then Martin Nance in the second or maybe Hank Baskett. I have seen a few different sites list him as who they feel we should go for in the second.

Love the pick of lendale white...not sure he'll last that long though but he'd be a beast for us !

Most Definetly if LenDale White is availible in hte First the Steelers should draft him, then i'd look for a
WideOut, a center and a defensive end in the 2nd and 3rd rounds in the
fourth round i'd pick up a Linebacker and a Guard,
5th i'd go with another oline man and a qb,
6th corner
7th te or dt

that would fill up our holes nicely, cause hartings is def lost a step and okobi has yet to show nething, theres a good center coming out who should be availble in the tailend of the 2nd round cant remeber who his name right now, steelers need to draft a big wide out, to bad jarret isnt coming out htis year :(

I agree with that
