I know this is only one person's (idiot) opinion but are you kidding me?????? We have a better record than some of the ones ahead of us!!!!

1. Titans
2. Giants (ok, I get this one)
3. Panthers
4. Bucs
5. Redskins (WTF???)
6. Patriots
7. Jets
8. Cardinals
9. Dallas
10. Falcons
11. Colts
12. STEELERS
13. Ratbirds

Even raven fans posted and said that despite how much it pains them the Steelers should NOT have dropped that far!!!!

I know .....but it is still dis-heartening....

Not really. There seems to be a parallel between the play on the field and our power rankings...they get a high power ranking and we blow a game. They drop off the radar and it's lights out....I'll take the low power rankings every week!

i have no problems with it. right now we dont deserve to be higher.

records mean nothing

out of 9 games played so far, we are 2-3 against current or potential playoff teams.

5 out of our last 7 games are against current playoff teams (including chargers who can esily win division).

we will just have to prove it on the field that we deserve higher

Lose at home to a team you should beat, your power rankings drop. bottom line.

Don't care, this week, Chargers, we need smash in their skulls then we can look at the new power rankings.

Something fishy?

Fox Sports = 3rd

CBS Sportsline = 12th??

I'll be there Sunday to witness the thrashing of the team from San Diego! Hope it snows!

usually we probally get way too much love on those power rankings - just so many steelers fans out there. until we start playing better football i agree with the fact that overall we are medicore team being carried by the defense.

but where do the computers rank them? That's what matters most for the BCS.

Damn, I thought for sure we would win the BCS title this year. With that last loss, we are in serious trouble of not making a Bowl game.

if our offense just starts playing half decent, without turnovers, we will be where we should be: the team to beat!

Yes, 33. not a typo

If it snows the Chargers are going to have a hard time just surviving the weather. I've been to San Diego, its golden!

I hope the conditions are terrible. We'll run the ball and pound it out, and win.

Power rankings? Lower the better, more money payout when we win.

I agree with Stlrtruck. When they rank the Steelers high, it seems as if the players start believing the hype. I like the Steelers play on the field much better when they feel as if they're being disrespected. :banging::applaudit::tt03::popcorn:

heck the offense can continue to stink but if you cut out the turnovers we only have one loss. let the defense carry this team and play safe turnover free offense.

It is a little worrying that every time we crack the top 3 we start to freaking crap ourselves.

This team(O mainly) needs to stop worrying about what other people think of them.......and execute on the damm field

The Patsies will back their way into the playoffs. Just watch. I hate them with a freakin passion which usually means that they make the playoffs. Maybe I should try pretending I like them and put the jinx on them. Nah, that would make me throw up.

Pfffft - power rankings mean nothing - even though we all check them out on a weekly basis. But I do think that the Steelers play better football when they're ranked as underdogs. It seems to fire them up and instill the will to DOMINATE. That's what they need - so I'm not gonna get torqued up over it if some hack drops them down a few notches :wink02:

Hey dude, I know, I check the power rankings every teusday, and we shouldn't have dropped that far, however, we shouldn't have lost to the colts either, they honestly didn't outplay us, ben threw two red zone int's which handed them the game, you give me the ball at the 9 yard-line and i can put it in, ben has struggled recently, but they don't want byron in cuz of the 210 mil we gave ben in the offseason, no matter how much better he did than ben against washington.

I follow the Power rankings for laughs and grins as well. CBS is out of touch with reality. That's okay, Last Super Bowl year we were NEVER ranked below 9th as I remember.
