The Rams made several roster moves Tuesday, cutting starting fullback Dan Kreider and placing starting center Nick Leckey (broken foot) on injured reserve. Replacing them on the active roster are center Cory Withrow and outside linebacker Larry Grant.
With Leckey done for the year, coach Jim Haslett told the Post-Dispatch that Brett Romberg would start at center Sunday against the Miami Dolphins.

Kreider did a decent job as a lead blocker in the running game, but gave up a couple of costly sacks in pass protection. It was Kreiderís man, Arizona safety Adrian Wilson, who sacked quarterback Marc Bulger, forcing a fumble that the Cardinals recovered

Well,

If the Rams cut him.... Guess it was another smart move by the Rooneys.

we hate to see him go, but the rooneys sometimes make moves that will affect us not right away, but in the future , and its like business, you gotta use the trial and error method in order to see if your moves were worth it, that is why the steelers have had so much stability and success for so long, unlike other teams who go from having massive success in 2 or 3 years, and gettin into a 8 year slump(ahem, cowboys)

Im not the smartest man in the world but they cut him for his pass blocking??? He is a fullback not a third down man

He's a fullback...who's primary job is blocking. Why do you think so many rookie HB's struggle to break into the lineup? It's not because they don't know how to run the ball, it's because their pass-protection/blitz recognition sucks.

If you're not running a route on a pass play, then you have to pass block. Football 101.
