Here are the Steelers who are currently in the hunt for the Pro Bowl (fan voting-wise):

Ben Roethlisberger #4 QB
Hines Ward #5 WR
Carey Davis #4 FB
Heath Miller #4 TE
Justin Hartwig #4 OC
Chris Kemoeatu #4 OG
Aaron Smith #5 DE
Casey Hampton #3 DT
James Harrison #2 OLB (behind Joey Porter)
LaMarr Woodley #5 OLB
James Farrior #2 ILB (behind Ray Lewis)
Larry Foote #3 ILB
Ike Taylor #5 CB (how the hell is Asomugha only #4?)
Troy Polamalu #1 SS
Ryan Clark #3 FS
Jeff Reed #4 K
Mewelde Moore #5 KR (this is how he's listed)
Anthony Madison #1 ST

The rankings are actually kinda funny. IMO our only offensive guys who should sniff the Pro Bowl at the moment are Ward and Miller, but the AFC isn't doing too well QB-wise this year, so Ben is in there despite a subpar year. I have no idea how Carey Davis got up there.

On the defensive side . . . wow . . . we might have 9/11 starting defenders in the Pro Bowl.

The special teams voting isn't conducted well--you only have the option of voting for one KR on each team, and Mewelde is getting votes because of his performance as a RB, not as a KR. Madison is our coverage rep on the ballot, and he's getting votes for the overall solid play of our coverage squads this year.

Kinda answered your own question. They really need to take fan voting out of the equation and let the coaches and players decide.

Hmm....top 5 in every category....Yep, fan voting strikes again

Seeing Ike at 5 gives me hope that he'll get his recognition though

how the hell is polamalu #1 ahead of ed reed?

everybody knows ed reed is, and always will be, the best safety EVER!

A. Smith #5 :shake01: *sigh* i guess he's going up against the likes of freeney.

fan vote counts for 1/3 the voting. clark's number will probably rise after dismantling welker because people hate the patriots so much.

There are several names on there that should not be I don't like the fan voting either because you know people are going to vote their favorite team in.

Im surprised Ben is even in the votings. If he was on a hot streak and passed for 8 TDs the rest of the year, then I think he could get in.

Polamalu. Its a given. He is in every year.

It would be cool if Ward could get in.

"James Farrior #2 ILB (behind Ray Lewis)"

Of course. James doesn't dance and talk enough.

I'm not sure if I'm remembering right, but I think Reed is at FS for Pro Bowl voting purposes.

Where did you find the results of the voting so far?

Everyone on here should go and vote as many times as you can! Most of our D-fense is worthy and so are Hines, Reed and Mewelde! The NFC is screwed for the fact that the Deadskins fans have gotten their team to where they lead 17 of the 22 positions on both sides of the ball... at least that was the last time I heard anything about it... SO GO VOTE!!!!

For one, you're nuts... RONNIE LOTT....PERIOD

And two, they play 2 different positions!!! Besides that, Troy leads the league in INTs and healthy finally!

It'll be interesting to see what the AP will vote for with the All-Pro team, FWIW.

I think Jerome Bettis was our best pro bowler ever.

He had a perfect game.:flap:

I would love to see Jeff Reed get in. This guy has been great for us and I would not want any other kicker on this team.
