View Full Version : WHAT'S UP WITH HINES WARD?

He caught one or two passes today and has dropped passes in the past few games. I have never seen him drop so many before. Usually, he catches everything thrown his way.:noidea:[/B]

I'm so afraid they're gonna drop him and then I won't be able to wear my awesome jersey anymore :(

I really don't know what his problem is, I did see that one drop. I think that was a problem with ben throwing it a little bit off-target. Still, should have been caught.

Now I've heard it all. It was Ben's fault that Hines dropped a ball.

He had that bad false start penalty as well. He finished with only one catch for 2 yards. He doesnt seem himself lately. Maybe he is just in a slump and we arent used to seeing him like this. Maybe he is just human?

What the hell is your problem? Look at the video, the wall was behind or in front of him (I can't remember). I even went on to say he still should have caught the ball, but it wasn't a very well thrown ball. Get off bens nuts and take my post for what it is.

That is HIGHLY improbable.

He had a great TD catch last game. Hines can't be amazing every game.

I agree, the guy is still a beast. Amazing blocking WR as well.

Why should Hines be exempt, everyone else is getting thrown under the bus. Next it'll be Jeff Reed. I think its Arians fault, his is responsible for everything.

come on now.. he was just over-shadowed by dallas baker.... this thread is pointless

Paul Pyrch

Arians calls the plays doesn't he? Therefore, in my book, he is responsible for some of the faulty offensive output.

Yes, this thread is for real. Open your eyes and admit that Ward hasn't played his normal outstanding game the past few weeks.

while i think its crazy that he only got 2 yards this game...if your discount HW's ability your insane...he will bounce back next game against baltimore...just an off game...and dallas defense was amazing against us...you gotta give them credit where credits due

true, so when we have a successful drive to tie game he should be commended as well.

Maybe he's just fed up with the Offensive lack of production as well.

He leads the team in catches (60) and rec. yds (757) and has 6 TDs. I know he had a bad game today, but I don't see the Steelers putting him out to pasture anytime soon.

Steeldude

BR's poor pass won't be registered as a drop for ward, but he should have caught it regardless.

why do people ignore holmes' many drops this year?

hindes204
12-07-2008, 10:58 PM
ward is fine....it was a bad day for offense all together, 7 degrees and 30 mph winds.....and to Brandons post "we should get something for him while we can"................curse and swear and foul language....your insane

You just admitted that "he hasn't been himself" which is the reason for this thread. No one is suggesting that Ward be let go. Put away your sarcasm and try to understand the original thought behind the thread.

that wasnt aimed at you.. one person said get what we can for him now.. another expressed concern he will get cut. both hopefully were just sarcasm.

are you joking me?

Its kinda funny how last week there was a thread saying he was the best WR in the AFC North. And every one posting in their ya he is awesome best all around WR in the NFL. Then the next week oh hines sucks lets trade.

... I thought steeler fans had more class than that

Uh, what's up with Hines Ward? How about what's up with the pathetic output our offense calls a performance?

Besides, everyone knows it's actually Arians fault. :chuckle:

Jeff Reed?? Blasphemy Cuban!

Wouldn't mind it terribly if he breaks that big mouth Scott's jaw.

or anything else is just fine with me.

Maybe he's just fed up with the Offensive lack of production as well.

I think this is the case. Did anyone see the look on his face in the first half when he didn't catch the bal over the middle? He looked absolutely disgusted. Maybe he's having personal problems or the lack of production is getting to him. He definitely hasn't been smiling as much.

I noticed the same thing and had the exact same thought.

In all the games I have seen this year you could not wipe the smile off his face even when he took a massive hit. That was missing tonight for whatever reason.

I can guarantee the smile will be back on his face for the ratbirds. There is no way he walks on the field and doesnt laugh in Bart Scotts face. He will be up for that game.

Hines is the heart of this team. It was cold and he looked it and he dropped it.. It was not a great pass, although catchable. Big game for Hines next week .

Hines Ward is fine he just had a off-day just like the rest of the offense i mean even Miller fumbled (WTF) Hines will bounce back next week. GO HINES!!

Speaking of Jeff Reed, he did miss a field goal. Trade him now. He sucks. (sorry I don't have a sarcasm smiley) You try to catch a frozen rock being thrown at you in below freezing weather and see how you do all you naysayers. Hines will be fine. I am sure he will be up for the Ratbirds. They hate him and the feeling is mutual.

there are more receiving threats than ward on this team...
