The neck injury that Dallas cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones sustained at Pittsburgh is so serious, it has ended his 2009 season and could end his career, a league source said Wednesday. When Jones suffered the injury Sunday, his body went numb for two full minutes.

Dont seriously like to hear career ending injuries but another thing for teams to be worried about playing the Steelers this year! RAVENS next!!!!

I never like to see career ending injuries either but if it would happen to someone Pacman was the one that deserved the most

I am never happy to hear about someone getting injured like that.

However, If I had to choose whom it SHOULDN'T be, well, he wouldn't have been on my list.

Ed Reed is always a good canidate for Hines Ward. Seems to me that more often than no Ed gets owned by ward

anyone notice how violently pacman was ripped when he 1st touched the ball? i wrote this in the marion barber thread before last weeks game-

i think the steelers are offended and will take exception to the fact that someone like pacman jones is allowed to even walk into their stadium and step onto their grass.

there may be hell to pay.

i have the same feeling this week for all the bart scott and bounty smack...

this is the "we are family" version of the steelers and they dont play that crap.

It might not be our stadium, but it's OUR DIVISION. We need to play like it.

Wow, talk about a career just ending on a down note.

As for the Ravens, why don't we line Harrison up on just one offensive play as Fullback to block on a Russell Dive play.

Right at Scott. See his mouth run with Silverback coming at him.

That is a HELL of an idea. Wow, someone should write Tomlin a letter or run into him and tell him.

Wait, let me get this straight.

He was injured on the botched kickoff return right?

So if his whole body was numb, how the hell did they say he had control of the football? :noidea::doh:

He fell on the ball and his knees were on the ground and was touched by a steelers player and ruled down by contact, everything after that was after the whistle had been blown I think.

Id like to see big mouth Bart Scott or Ray Ray take a nice shoulder in the ground.

Shouldn't have been playing anyway....he should have already been suspended for life.

Ed Reed is the ONLY Ratfink I respect. He's one of the best in the league at his position, isn't a douchebag murderer like Stabbit Ray and is a total team player. Of course I wouldn't mind if Hinsey smacked him around a bit (not to injure).

As I said in another thread - nothing would please me more (other than a Steelers W on Sunday) than to see Ray the Knife have his head become a permanent fixture in the M & T turf. I can't stomach that pompous loud-mouthed SOB.

I agree about Ed Reed. He is very talented and I don't believe him to be a "Ray Lewis" guy. He is his own man.

As far as Pacman's career, consider the source: Adam Schefter reported it and he always reports on the side of "drama."

I don't feel sorry for Adam Jones. This punk should not even be playing in the NFL. And by the way a man is paralyzed for life due to this ass.

ESPN is saying he just has a herniated disk that would keep him out for a few games but isn't career-threatening.

Also, I thought I remembered Jones coming back in and playing defense later in the game. Am I just confused or something?

He gets no tears from me.

Me neither - he's the reason another human being is wheelchair-bound for the rest of his life.

Sorry, I can't buy into the Ed Reed talk. He is NOT Bart Scott or Ray Lewis, who both can be punked all day long for all I care. Ed Reed is a GREAT player who I wish would defect to the Steelers at some point. The other two are gutter trash.

Are you saying it'll happen on the kickoff? Because that would be even funnier.

A cunning sneak play by the shatbirds. :wink02:

Hmmm, even with a rocket of a Reed KO maybe 14:56 was a bit over exuberant!

14:48 then! :wink02: (After a Reed rocket KO and Touchback)

Next play, Flacco is the filling in a Harrison, Woodley and Farrior sandwich. (You can all make up your own minds who's on top!)

i don't think ANY player ever really deserves to be hurt and have a career ending injury...period.

but then again...it is football. it's not shuttleprofanityfilterprofanityfilterprofanityfilt erprofanityfilter and chess, ya know? it's a man's game...rough and tough and every once and awhile someone gets a beat down.

sorry Pacman...you killed my fantasy hopes. good riddance to you...hopefully for good. =)

See, now you've made me imagine Brady being shoved full throttle into Billicheat, and both their careers ending!

I think deserved was first and foremost on my mind! :wink02:

And I don't know what's worse.........me liking the thought of that, or actually thinking about Brady and the Bigcheat in the first place! *Shudders*

while I don't want to see anything happen to another player, it sure wouldn't make me cry a river if say something like Ray Lewis was taken off the field come Sunday.....you know, maybe a few up the gut plays directed right at him, or a nice crack back by Hines.......

Does that mean u never liked Joey Porter when he was in black and gold? :crying01:

c-mon now, what did Joey do...I mean dancing in clubs with his shirt off (like a girl) and getting shot in the a$$ isn't all that bad is it?......:flap: or fighting in a casino with another NFL'er

Hell of a lot better than actually being involved with murdering someone.
