My best friend in High School and fellow Marine died yesterday. He had just celebrated his 36th Birthday. I ask that you all pray for his family. He left behind two little girls. The oldest of which is my God Daughter.

Rest in Peace Jack...., and Semper Fi.

I'm really sorry to hear that. May the memories of your friendship with Jack give you some comfort during this sad time  I can't imagine what his wife and little ones must be going through. 36 is too young to leave this world.

Godspeed, Jack :crying02:

What a truly sad ending to a young hero's life. My sympathies to you, hon, and my thoughts and prayers will be with his wife, children and the entire United States Marine Corps.

Thank you, Jack, for your service to our country and may you RIP for eternity in God's Kingdom. :tombstone:salute:

RIP Jack. I am sorry for your loss Ward. Thank you for your service to our country and for protecting the wonderful liberties me and my child enjoy. My Uncle and cousin both served in the Corps. My other Uncle in the Airforce and another in the Navy. My sister served in the Army and my Father served 22 years in the AirForce. So being a military family and having to move every 2 years as a kid was tough, but that sacrifice is nothing to compared to the sacrifices my father and others have given. I only wish I had lied on my medical about a stupid breathing problem. Then I could be where I truly belong, beside our troops protecting the rest of our world.

Oh yeah, my Grandfather served in the Marines as well and fought in the Korean War.

Thank you all very much for your kind words and prayers. I will gladly pass them along to the family.
Of all the hearts I've ever encountered, none was bigger than Jacks. He had many friends and I am thankfull to have known him and call him "my friend."
