View Full Version : Do The Steelers Win Top Seed?

Can the Steelers beat the TITans to win the NO.1 seed in the AFC and make the road to the bowl come through the BURGH? If so, what should their game-plan be? Pass? Run? Personally I think Fast Willie looked good this week vs. the Raisins he just needed more touches. Also, against the second ranked D in the NFL, how many times did Ben get sacked? Oh, thats right....ONCE...the O-line looked good. HERE WE GO STEELERS!

no doubt brother. i think with the Tater Titans struggling as of late, they are going to take on the Steelers with a bit of fear and uneasiness. i don't think they really have what it takes to pull of a big victory like that. not IF, but WHEN we beat them...we should snag first seed because that Browns game should be a sleeper.

as for a game plan, take it easy and run it right down their c*cksuckers! show them that we aren't to be takenf or granted on our run game and use the short pass game last Ben's last drive vs. the Baltimore Raisins (haha!). -- if Ben can buckle down and cowboy up, play smart, and take an easrly lead...they can do this. i have faith. nothing but faith. =)

They'd struggled against FWP in the past..., but that was when we employed a true FB. I'm not sure what the key is on offense. I say we blitz all day long on defense though. Kerry Collins is a statue and does not handle pressure well. I think the Titans see what real competition looks like this week.
That said, I do respect the h3ll out of Jeff Fisher.

The Steelers can and should win the Top Seed? One game at a time.

The Titans beat one good team the Colts and remember it was when Seyton Manning was just back from injury. They got a break with the easy schedule and remember our Steelers are 11-3 with the toughest schedules in years.
The Steelers will show the Titans a lesson on playing good teams and will be another game like when they played the Jets. No easy fight, but still i feel the Steelers win good.

yeah it is the next game lol,

i dont care what kind of offense we run, the titans need to get yards and score if they want to win, and i know for a fact that isnt going to happen.

If the Steelers win, they MUST win against Cleveland or the Titans must lose against the Colts to get HFA.

Jeff Fisher looks like a child molester with that stupid mustache or a creepy gym teacher. i can't stand that guy...BUT i have to give him some props for having tenure with that team. he must be doing something right. their record is amazing this year...but they've been on the outs. i think Collins has a deep rooted fear of success and he's a choke artist.

we'll see next Sunday...

I'll be embarressed if we lose to the Titans. The ease of their schedule and the way they were pushed around this past weekend by the Texans shows me they are not as good as the pundants would have us think. We should be able to shut down their running game, cause we always do and kill their qb on the forced passing downs.

And our Offense will do what it takes to get us enough points to beat them.

That is what I see. The Ravens, I was slightly worried, the Colts, I knew was going to be tough cause it was a "must win" for the Colts. Their little run of 7 in a row included the lucky game they won over us. Still pisssed at that int before the half. The Titans however, have shown me crap all year.

We should crush those fools beneath our boots like the pathetic pretender roaches they truly are.

The Titans are already talking about resting injured people for the next two games to get healthy for the playoffs. The Steelers should be in a position to blow them out early.

Well, the Titans are 9th against the run and 5th against the pass . . . And two starting linemen down . . . I say we run the piss out of it Sunday.

no doubt bro. we need to readjust our focus and do some running...it works better than the media and players and fans think it does. it beast down D and chews up clock. when it comes time to make a big play...running a few plays here and there doesn't hurt. the Titans are overrated and i think the Steelers see the flaws and can see through the bullshit of not just the Titans, but any team in the NFL. we'll do it to it.

i always get nervous about AFC North rivals. but the Titans aren't really that bad. it'd be like playing...well...the Browns in 2 weeks. haha!

I hope we win, and I think we can and should win. However we haven't had much luck playing in Nashville. Without Haynesworth we should try to run it down their throats. But then again I thought we might try and do that against the Dolts, ....I mean Colts and look what happened?:noidea:

Yes, as I firmly believe they will win against the Tites. They know what's at stake and I think they will rise to the occasion.

As GoSlash mentioned above - field position is key. ST's have to be on their toes and we have to get better punts out of Booger. Can't give 'em starts from their 40 or midfield.

The O has to put points on the board early to take the Tites fans out of the game. The more the merrier. OL has to bring their A++ game and knock it off with the stupid penalties. Nate and Santo have to scrub the butter from their fingers before the game and most importantly - NO TURNOVERS.

The D will play their usual outstanding game, but have to stop the Tites running game and make Boozer beat them through the air, which I don't see happening. Collins has a noodle arm for the most part and as with Flacco in yesterday's game, they need to pressure the living hell out of him to force him to hurry his tosses and make mistakes which he will do if pressured.

I would be very disappointed if we did not beat the Titans and take over the #1 playoff seed. Haynesworth and Bosch are both out of this game and that is good news for our running game. Our defense will shut down their running game and hit Collins often. I actually expect a little break out game for our offense.

well looks like Haynesworth and Vanden Bosch won't be playing on sunday, not sure how good their backups are but looks like the D-Line will be weakened, I felt good about our chances before, I feel really good now. Hopefully FWP can put up some good numbers, would be nice to see for a change

The Titans are cratering at the worst possible time, mix that with their injury list and the fact that the true Collins is showing himself, they are in big trouble.

The Steelers will beat the Titans and I will be at the game cheering them on with my Hines Ward #86 jersey. Can't wait, making the 10 hour drive on Saturday to see the Steelers.
