We had 3 tough emotional games in a row piror to this week so a let down is kind of expected at some point. 4 postives I take from this loss

1) we can rest some of our starters next week and hopefully be fully healthy come playoff game
2) I like the match up as second seed in the first game better (I think). Tenesse will get the lowest remaing seed after first week of games which will likely be one of the wild card teams .... but if either Denver/SD can beat Colts or AFC East winer beats Baltimore then we can avoid what in my opinion is a tough match versus Baltimore and Colts in first round and host afc east or west division winner.
3) If we do play Titans again... we took over their home filed and can do so again in the palyoffs. Plus we now have extra motivation with theat BS crap White and Bullock pulled at the end.
4) Steelrs play better with everyone off their Bandwagon....

I knew we would lose at least one more game, and I'd rather it happen during the regular season instead of the playoffs. The analysts all jumping on the bandwagon this past week - that's always a bad sign, IMO - we're much better as underdogs.

The probability of a #1 seed winning the Super Bowl is not that great, so I'm glad we're going in as the #2. We'd only have to go on the road in the playoffs if we end up playing the TItans again.

1st quarter 0-0 Ben idiodically fumbles on the 2 yd line
Could have been 3-0 in the first
at the end of the 2nd at the time 10-7 Titans, say Ben didn't fumble it would be 10-10
Jeff Reed misses kick
Could have been 13-10

I no shoulda coulda woulda didnt, but we know we can move the ball with ease with these guys. Ben's 1st Int killed us we were definately going to score right there. The talent and skill is there on our offense except we do know what our identity is.

Oh by the way anybody want to ask the 2006 bengals what happens when u tarnish our terrible towel?

Hint Hint it wasnt good for the bengals

The Steelers did plenty to kill themselves more than the Titans did. Missed field goal, and a ton of turnovers.

You're not going to beat anyone commiting turnovers. Ben was not smart with the ball. In all four losses this year, Ben committed braindead turnovers.

The Steelers had a 14-10 lead at one point too. Overall, it was loss in a game in which the Steelers had little to gain and nothing to lose. We'll they lost hype, and that's always a good thing.

the offense can't keep expecting the defense to shutdown all opponents and do the scoring every week. maybe this will be a wakeup call for the offense.

oh well. 3 weeks of rest and hopefully some intense game planning.

Steelers made a lot of mistakes in this game. Jeff Reed won't miss chip shot field goals very often, and I don't expect Ben to turn the ball over that often.

However, I was pretty impressed with the way Tennessee played. They looked very strong on D, and Kerry Collins proved a lot to me.

At least T.J. cleaned his shoes with an authentic towel. Stomping on a makeshift rag is like celebrating a preseason win.
Doesn't count.

Definitely agree with these 3 points, especially point #2. The two lower seeds are definitely the tougher matchups. And the chargers who will probably be seed #4 is also a team I rather not play in our first round.

Agree with the points raised. Opportunities presented themselves, execution was ultimately lacking.

Credit to the Titans, they proved to be the better team on the day, they did not make costly mistakes & made the critical plays when it mattered.

The Titans however want to claim a lack of respect, predominately which may be attributed to the media, i don't believe the Steelers were showing a lack of respect towards Tennessee, so then to show no class towards the Steelers when they get ahead.. a match back at Nashville would be great, he who laughs last....
