So many teams made a run on OT's last year you would think we would have a shot at OL this year.

In 2006 there was only 1 Tackle taken in the 1st round.
In 2007, there were 3 and last year there were 7 taken.

Chances are only 3 or 4 Tackles have 1st round grades to warrant a 1st round, high dollar, pick on them.

My bet is we get the 4th Best Tackle on the board with our 1st round pick. Otherwise we'd take a Guard or a Center that projects as a 1st rounder.

Michael Oher, Andre Smith, Jason Smith and Eugene Monroe so far are all likely to go in the first round.

Phil Loadholt, Eben Britton, Russel Okung are other tackles that may also go in the first and I think Guard Duke Robinson is the sure fire interior guy to go as well. Herman Johnson, Max Unger and Alex Mack are also possible first rounders. This may be another year where around 7 O-linemen go in the first round.

You think Okung is coming out? If he and Britton do come out that can only help us.

I dont know, but from some of the hype that I have started to read on these guys says they will be late 1st (Britton maybe higher) or early 2nd, so I'd be surprised if they didnt come out now.

im so sorry but quite honestly aaron maybin should not be sixth (this year)

the kid needs to go back to school and show some consistency and something other running past offensive tackles... the man is fast i'll give him that but not fast enough to do it in the NFL... u can do that in college but u cant do that in the pros...

Wow - I didn't think Mark Sanchez was THAT highly thought of. Holy crap. I was thinking maybe second round?

Didn't McCoy say he was staying at Pitt for another year?

Michael Oher sitting there at 23 looks tempting.

Gotta see him in the Senior Bowl and combine first. I like the kid, but he looked sloppy in the bowl game and is either resting on his laurels, or not as good a run blocker as I have seen before.

Still, would be better than Starks.

the rankings will def change after evryone delcared or returned and then the sr bowl and combine are big ranking busters

Michael Oher's a beast from what I've heard about him. He was the main character in the story The Blind Side which I read for school a while back. He is a naturally powerful man.

Good question. I think he must have. That O line was only giving up 1.3 sacks per game though and I bet next season you start hearing more about their RT......Peria Jerry's little brother is one heck of an O lineman too!!

i'm pretty certain he never gave up one in the regular season, but i'm not sure about the bowl game....:noidea:

I dont think he did in the Bowl game, but he honestly got sloppy and got beat around the end a few times, but he is athletic enough to get back and usher the DE away from the passer.

I wasnt as impressed in him as I had been before, but think he needs some improved technique to be really great. I dont think anybody that takes Oher, Smith, Smith or Monroe will be disappointed.
