Roethlisberger may return to practice Thursday

PITTSBURGH — Ben Roethlisberger, his sore head covered by the hood of his sweatshirt, didn’t do much or say much. He didn’t practice and he didn’t speak to the media. He looked and acted like a football player recovering from a concussion.

“He’s doing better,” Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said after the two-hour workout Tuesday morning. “He’s starting the process of taking a battery of tests that comes after one sustains a concussion. Don’t know where we are in terms of the results of those tests. We have less urgency this time around because we don’t have a game this week.

“We’ll proceed slowly with him because we have that luxury. But we feel comfortable to where he is relative to (this past) Sunday and where he’s capable of being next week.”

Tomlin said that he has not ruled out Roethlisberger practice today or Thursday. But he does expect Roethlisberger to play Jan. 11 in the AFC divisional playoff game.

Just let him rest this week. Then he can get back to work next week.

I look forward to his progress report next Sunday!

However, I do hope that the FO sees the dilemma they have. If they don't get a better O-line, they'll be shopping for another QB in the near future because the one we have won't be able to remember his name or what he does for a living!
