He was down for quite a while. I believe, his 3rd concussion in the last couple of years. The media reports say he should be ok, but what's the inside scoop?

Leftwich seems to play just as well when he gets the chance. Is Ben gonna be at 100% come Sunday?

You better hope he isn't ;)

It was all a ploy.

You know....smoke and mirrors.

I think we will know more about Ben's status later on in the week, AFC. Thus far, the Tomlinator isn't really saying much one way or the other.

If I'm a bettin' person though, I'd say he'll be ready to go and Lefty will get a little more work with the first team offense this week just in case.

No. That injury is reserved for Carson Palmer.

It's like that episode of Coach... the one with the bowl game in Hawaii.

Actually, Cowher kind of reminds me of Craig T. Nelson... How have I never seen this...

And, please... I like Lefty, but comparing him to Roethlisberger... really?

Don't think we will hear much until gametime.. Why give away all of our secrets, and plans? This gives SD a week to have to worry about 2 QB's plays, not just one....

For the record, I hope that Big Ben is 100%. Concussions are nasty little cusses with lifelong implications, and I really hope he can provide his full abilities this game.

Ben is a tough cookie and 100% or not he will bring his A game.

If Ben struggles whether due to post concussion syndrome and its effects or otherwise, at what point should Tomlin resort to Byron ?

I wish i could be as upbeat and optimistic about Ben, but this layoff combined with this 4th concussion (everyone keeps sayin its 3 but he suffered one vs Ratbirds 2 yrs ago) has me concerned as he doesnt have a good history when these two elements are at play.

Don't forget that nasty little accident he had with the motorcycle not wearing a helmet.

They'll prob split the reps in practice, easing Ben back into it. His status will depend on the test results and the doctor's clearance first. If he is cleared by the docs, we know he'll play. that's the way it goes in the NFL

Hopefully Ben will be very close to 100% come Sunday. The other thing to consider is that Arians must now call a very good game, not only to put our offense in good position but of course protect Ben from getting hit a lot considering he will be 2 weeks out from a concussion.
