Smith and Sporano did a great job this year no doubt, but it's an opinion vote by the fans, and yes some fans are homers, so what.

It's not like Tomlin didn't have to overcome a large amount of adversity throughout the year also to get this team where it is today.

Sporano did a great job turning the team around, but did it with basically no struggles throughout the year. Almost no injuries to his roster and quite possibly the easiest schedule for any team this season....if he had to deal with half of the crap that Tomlin had to this year they would be at the bottom of their division again plain and simple.

In my opinion it comes down to Tomlin, Smith and Fischer, but of course nearly every Steelers fan is going to vote for Tomlin, just like if Norv was on that list nearly every Chargers fan would vote for him. Don't be so hypocritical.

Tomlin and Fisher had great seasons, but both teams are so talented it's hard to give too much credit to the coaches. That's not to say both guys didn't do great jobs...

But Miami doesn't have much talent, save for Ronnie Brown and Joey Porter. To go 11-5 and win their division after going 1-15 last year, that's a Coach of the Year performance.

I disagree Tomlin had much higher expectations and going 8-8 with a team like Miami this year would have been considered great coaching. Let's see what this coach does with the pressure on him. Tomlin has put his stamp on this team so early and really knows how to make this team play at a high level each week.

Tomlin looks so happy in that picture on the NFL voting site. I think it's the first time I've ever seen him look pleasant. Usually, on TV while roaming the sidelines, he's all focused and intense, which is awesome. But, still, it's nice to see a smiling picture... lol.

I love my Steelers, and I love Coach Tomlin. He is for sure my coach of the year, but I think there are a couple other guys in the NFL more deserving than Mike this year.

Actually, if Tomlin wasn't an option (and I didn't hate the Ravens so much) Harbaugh would have gotten my vote.

My sentiments exactly . . . I've been a huge Tomlin fan since the day he was hired, but you just can't overstate Smith and Sparano this year. Those kinds of turnarounds don't happen every year.

Harbaugh has done an excellent job as well.

Oh, I don't know.

We lost our top two RB's (Willie is just coming back now), starting RT and LT, Starting Cornerback (for a few games) also lost our starting TE for a decent amount of the season, our starting FS, Starting NT, starting DE, our other starting DE's son is dying of cancer, our starting QB has been injured most of the year.

On top of that, Tomlin had to deal with the mighty, steady Steeler Ownership in an uproar over possibly being sold-- something this team has NEVER had to deal with in the SB era, and also deal with Santo's idiotic mistake.

All of that, and the "hardest schedule in the NFL" starting out.

I don't know, 12-4 and looking at the AFCCG in his second year with a team that is in the middle of some big offensive changes? Yeah, I think that is a dang good job coaching.

i honestly think harbaugh did the best job of all...he molded a team that went to the AFC championship contender in ONE season!

tomlin inherited a lot of great players. and hasnt added much except for the amazing lamar woodley.
