Since 1970 teams are 11-7 in their third meeting (after winning their 1st two).

That adage about how difficult it is to beat a time three times in a season is a myth.

18 times has a team had a chance to make it a 3 game sweep and 11 of those 18 times they succeeded (that's a 61.11% success rate).

I'm feeling good about meeting the rats next week.

I'm confident we can pull out a win... It's gonna be a slugfest like usual... I really just feel the type of game Ravens were through last night and playing 16 straight games caught up to the ravens last night. I think the battles ravens have been through lately gives us the slight edge in this thing

Great Win, but lets keep our eyes on the Prize.

Charger = OLD News
Ravens = NEW News "ONCE AGAIN!"

The Ravens want to beat us SO bad they can taste it. No matter how beat up they are, they will put it all on the line in Pittsburgh newt week. The Eagles and Cards have to be smiling right now, because the AFC Championship game is going to be BRUTAL! This will be the talk of the week over every Sports station, Radio, TV, Sports Bars...etc...etc. It will be a hard fight and an epic battle for sure....
But, just think about it...The BEST way to completely shut the Ravens down, Kill their morals, and spirit, is to beat them 3 times in one season. All question will be answered. All doubts shaken. They will know that they simply CAN NOT Beat The Pittsburgh Steelers. Punch Flacco In the Mouth With the Rush...He's Not As Calm As Everyone Thinks He Is. Put The Steelers Logo Right In Ray Lewis' Chest...He's Hyped And Charged, BUT he's all mental intimidation...Has Fans Believing He's Superman...He's not the power pack he use to be. NO Raven Can Fly Through Steele.

The Steelers have never lost to a division rival in the playoffs.

The Steelers beat the Browns three times in one season twice. This includes the Old Browns back in 1994, who had just as nasty a disposition as the Ravens.

No guarantee of course. This will be a battle.

I'm too lazy to Google. Have the Ravens and Steelers ever played against each other in the playoffs? I don't think so.

The Steelers and Ravens played once in the playoffs back in 2001. Steelers won 27-10.

NO bearing on this game though. The Ravens will bring it.

they've played in the playoffs. I remeber a game in balimore when someone tried to land a plane in the stadium - old memorial stadium - after the game ened. I live around Balt. at the time. I think Pitts won that game.

2001 or 2002?

We won the SB in 2001 (the 2000 season, though).

I was sitting three rows away from where the plane crashed, although I had left the stadium by that time.

What a maroon.

2001-'02 season. We shot our wad against you and played flat as hell against the Pats* the following week. It still sickens me to think about it.

That's right. I think I've killed a few neurons since then. :drink:
