Damn! I feel bad for telling you this, but it was 72 and clear skies in Santa Barbara today. Tomorrow it's supposed to hit 74. Sunday about the same.

But, I truly wish I was at the game on Sunday! I don't mind freezin' my ass off for a real football game! I was at the first game vs the Chargers this year and it was cold as a MF'er, and my son and I loved it!!!

Living in a southwestern suburb of Detroit Rock City....my car read 15 degrees in the garage and dropped to -12 degrees on the way to work...not counting wind chill.

That was around 7:45 am...not sure what it was overnight.

Four years ago I was living on Troy Hill and I went out to clear ice from my front steps, and my feet went straight out from under me and my spinal cord landed right on the concrete steps, that's when I said screw this and moved to Northern California 5 months later.

The weather here this week has been in the mid 60's during the day and low 40's at night. If I ever get a nostalgic feeling for snow, I just have to drive into the hills about 15 minutes and can see all the snow I want. Surprisingly though in the four years I've been I've never made that trip :).

How Bad is it Temp wise up there. I'd imagine it would be even colder then when my Football team had to come up there for our playoff game.

Well... I don't think it got above 15 today. If you recall the stadium... its pretty much iced over in the rear area from the track, up the hill to the practice and baseball fields.

Luckily, we didnt hafta be outside for the basketball game tonight! Beat Jersey Shore by 22.

12-0!

It's FRACKIN' cold here in N. Alabama. It was 10 degrees outside this morning when I got up....

I've lived here for 4 years now... and this is the coldest set of days we've had. I sort of chuckle when they give freeze warnings here etc. Up north it takes a bit of coaxing to get people to freak out... here it's easy. Then again... we don't really have the salt trucks and plows etc if we do get a serious snow.

I have yet to deal with an ice storm here, I really hope I never have to!

We got a couple of inches of snow the last day or so and we've had freezing rain and sleet since early this morning. Supposed to change to snow this afternoon, but we're only forecast for 1-3 inches.

I'd love a good Nor'easter like we had in 1993! I hate the cold, but love the snow (and I do realize that you can't have one without the other!). :wink02:

The only thing that sucks is making it up later. But at least we'll still get the day off.

I'd take a blizzard that started towards the end of a school day for me so that way I can get an early dismissal. lol.
