Folks,

I am a recent supplant from the Burgh to Columbus Ohio.

One of the first things I did was to search online and ask the locals about some good Steelers Bars. And I was impressed to find a whole bunch of them. Also, I was surprised to see the support for Steelers here in Ohio (I guess Big Ben and Holmes are a big factor :) )

Believe it or not, going to a Steeler bar is like being back home at the Burgh.. You are in friendly territory and you tend to make great friends in a new city...

Here are some good steelers bars in the Columbus area which I can recommend:

1. Gresso's - 961 S. High Street, Columbus OH 43206 (http://www.gressos.com/news.php)

2. Buffalo Wild Wings Grill and Bar - 2137 Polaris Pkwy., Columbus, OH 43240 (http://buffalowildwings.com/)

I am hoping that everyone will share their preferred Steelers watering holes in their respective cities so that it can become a guide for people traveling or doing short visits...

you would thinkg James Harrison would be a big deal out there too. he's from Akron and he played at Kent State. you gotta love Dirty Harrison! =)

also, while your out there, check out The Black Keys. Akron, Ohio's very best band. you'll dig them...i promise. =)

Clarion, Pennsylvania

Vinny's Restaurant
Daddy's Main Street
Main Event
RR Roadhouse
The Toby Hill Bar
The Captain Loomis Inn
....and my house!

ALL Steeler bars in a 3 mile radius of one another. yeah, it's only an hour or so north of the Burgh, but it's still a feat in itself. haha!
