it makes me nervous that right out of the box we are already 7 point favorites...i think we can win by seven, or even more, i just dont think we play good when we are overwhelming favorites, we always seem to play better as underdogs

Yeah, I like it better when we're the underdogs tbh.

Weren't we favored against the Chargers? And the Ravens? :noidea:

I might've bought that "we don't play well as favorites" stuff when Cowher was still around, but it's a new era.

yes we were favorites in those games, but not overwhelming favorites like we are now

A 6-point spread is overwhelming? Last year's spread between the Pats* and Giants - THAT was overwhelming.

your right, i think the line last year opened at 14...im just not used to being the favorite, i kinda liked being the underdog...i can remember being in iraq during the last superbowl run and how proud i was for us to win week after week as the underdog

that underdog stuff is cowherball. it's a new era.

(i loved cowher, but his teams sure were tight in all those championship losses)

Seven points is almost an insult.

It would be more but the bookies got smoked bad last year.

I honestly think this will be one of the more lopsided SB's in recent memory.

So true, Tomlin tells his guys that if they are not the favorites then they are not doing their jobs. The new coaching philosophy that they should be playing to astandard that they should always be the favorite. Leave the underdog status to Arizona we have plenty of motivation without it.
