With their eight sacks against the Browns this past Saturday, the Steelers moved into a tie with Jacksonville for third in the NFL with 46. Minnesota leads the league with 48, and Seattle is second with 47. The Steelers franchise record for sacks in a season is 55, accomplished in 1994 and 2001. Linebacker Joey Porter, who had three sacks in Cleveland, is tied for 11th in the league with 10 1/2 sacks, and linebacker Clark Haggans ranks 15th with nine. The most recent time a Steelers player finished a season with double-digit sacks was in 2001 -- Jason Gildon had 12. Defensive end Aaron Smith led the Steelers with eight sacks last season.

A large number of Steelers fans have yet to see the highlight of linebacker James Harrison body slamming a spectator who ran onto the field Saturday in the fourth quarter of a 41-0 win. CBS, which broadcasted the game, followed a standard practice in the television industry of not showing unruly fan behavior.

Running back Willie Parker ranks 13th in the league with 1,067 rushing yards on 229 attempts (4.7 per rush). With 62 yards Sunday against the Detroit Lions, Parker would surpass Franco Harris' 1976 total of 1,128 yards for the 10th-highest single-season total in team history. Barry Foster ranks first in Steelers annals with 1,690 yards in 1992.

Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is second in the league with a passer rating of 103.4, not far from leader Peyton Manning at 104.3. Roethlisberger is 161 of 252 (63.9 percent) for 2,250 yards with 17 touchdowns and seven interceptions.

Our defense is finally playing with confidence and is peaking. Joey Porter, keep them fired up!

You know Jerome is gonna wanna play this week in a big way. I hope we are able to get him some good carriers and couple TD's to boot in front of his home town.

Not too bad for Big Ben, even though he has played only 11 games.

At least one TD, he is owed that! And if we make it to Detroit and we have the oppurtunity for him to take in a 1yard TD and Cowher calls a pass to Refrigerator Perry, I`ll hate him forever!

If he calls the Fridge back from retirement I'll just die laughing

interesting thing with ben. he has like 50 fewer attempts than peyton, hasselbeck, and palmer do completions. he has missed 4 games and sat out the 4th quarter of 3 others (all of which he had almost perfect passer ratings) there was definitely room where he couldve padded his stats despite playing in the run dominated offense. but people will still say he sucks cause he hasnt thrown for 3000+ yds

Lol, I know how you feel, people say BRady sucks, because he's yet to throw 4000 yards, well tonight is his first, and he's had like 4 other 3000 yard season, so he hasn't been far from it.

you know i think i'm gonna take back all the stuff i said about porter not deserving the pro bowl, he has actually, stat wise, had a good season compared to his last two years. i never realized he was even close to being in double figures with sacks.

ppl are starting to get dumber and dumber when they try to argue about ben not being good, and some say he had a better season last year cause of burress, he's missed what four games and still has the same amount of tds as last year, less ints, better qb rateing, i think he avged more pass attempts this year, his yards per throw were higher, he didn't get sacked as much. he's had more 40+ yard throws this year then last. but no matter what there is always going to be haters, but hell let them hate, cause it's just jealousy

Its the fact that he has only played 11 games, that has got us playing for our playoff lives. He had played 15, or if Tommy wouldn`t have forgotten how to play, we would be in no problem

ain't that the truth, but hell this could turn into a blessing in disquise with maddox forgetting how to play three years ago.
