This isn't a thread to bag on the refs or to try to pre-blame the refs for bad calls.. I'm just bringing some stats here about the ref crew that have been assigned for the superbowl:

* Referee: 77 - Terry McAulay
* Umpire: 102 - Bruce Stritesky
* Head Linesman: 48 - Jim Mello
* Line Judge: 84 - Mark Steinkerchner
* Field Judge: 80 - Greg Gautreaux
* Side Judge: 72 - Michael Banks
* Back Judge: 133 - Steve Freeman

Terry McAulay is an American football official in the National Football League (NFL) since 1998. Since joining the NFL, McAulay has officiated Super Bowl XXXIX in 2005, two conference championship games, one divisional game, and one wildcard game. McAulay began his career in the NFL at the side judge position, but was promoted to referee starting with the 2001 NFL season. He wears the uniform number 77.

Just as long as it isn't Ron Winter, Peter Morelli, or Jeff Tripplett...I'm good with it.

I wish Bill Leavy got the gig. He's the only zebra I can stomach.

refs suck. They all do. All they do is have an unfair impact on the game. I wish there was no refs

The only good official is an invisible official. If they do their job correctly, you shouldn't notice them.

Actually I like it. Notice how many offensive holdings he has called.

Maybe Harrison won't get mugged on every play.
