I tend to think the Arizona/Pittsburgh matchup is extremely compelling (biased, I know). One of the best defenses the league has seen in a long time and one of the most explosive offenses ever assembled makes for quite an interesting matchup.

Will the ratings surpass those of Super Bowl XL?

That depends on how well the Cardinals can keep up. There's a chance this Super Bowl could be a huge flop. I hope not and hopfully the Cardinals can come out and play their best game. If not, people will quickly be finding other things to watch.

I agree. If it's 28-3 at halftime I'm going to have to increase my beer intake to continue watching the game.

The ratings have normally been big for all the Steelers Super Bowls and until last year, the one against the Seahawks was the highest Super Bowl.

I see this year taking that over.

Rating have been down for the playoffs compared to last year, no matter who was playing. The better matchup would have been an all PA Bowl, but it is what it is. Is it me or does Whiz look a little nervous during his interviews?

Not possible to have had an Arizona/Philly matchup.

NBC's worst case scenario was Arizona/Baltimore - possibly Carolina/Baltimore.

Should beat XL. Slightly more intriguing matchup than Seattle - plus ratings measurements of digital households are more prevalent now.

Oh jeez. Thanks for pointing that out. It was one of those mornings.

I'll be watching, :tt03: How much does my tuning in account for in the ratings?
Maybe something like, 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000001

Seriously, I think that it will be one of the top 5 viewed Super Bowls of all time. We're the Steelers NATION baby! All of the networks love airing the Steelers and for good reason. Steelers prime-time games are always some of the most watched games of the season.

Will it increase the ratings if I have 3 televisions tuned in to the game?

I think it will be one of the highest rated of all time..taking into consideration Pittsburgh is going for a record 6th trophy. :tt03::tt03:

I really believe this one will be very close if not blowing away the all time most watched Super Bowls. This is of course considering we are going for our 6th title and the Cardinals getting there after such a long drought.

Hmmm. Is there ratings information available yet?
