They asked Merrill Hodge today to pick his unsung differance maker/MVP and He picked Keisel. Talked about how he made the differance in XL and stopped Alexander on what could have been a big touchdown run.

Go Keis!!!!!

Bens Haircut is 100 times better than the one he had for super bowl 40.

Ben got along with Tomlin early. It was a new process with a new coach.

Ben thinks it helps to have a little knowledge of what a Super Bowl is like.

He said the he rather win that get stats. He wins football games.

He expects tons of loud crazy steeler fans.

He loves the away game "home field advantage"

TheSteelCurtain
01-26-2009, 02:34 PM
When asked what ben expect from steelers fans? he said tons of them wild and rambuxious. That they do a lot for the team

He doesn't care how he does it, he wants to win.

Its about promises and trying to win another one.

The first time he was really nervous for a game was in XL

Doesn't expect to be as nervous as last. He knows how to deal with everything better.

Coach Wiz was great for Ben, a great mentor and helped him become who is is today. He is proud to play against him.

Wiz was great because he didn't change who he was and taught him the offense. Didn't want to change the style of how Ben's played.

His dad has his superbowl ring.

Coaches can only coach as much. ITs all about the players playing.

The affect of Wiz knowing Ben isn't seen as an advantage.

Hines has bailed the team out of many situations.

To win a super bowl in general is a big deal. To give Rooney six trophies will be special.

Ben is over, Hines will be up next.

Hope I am doing a good job.

Lets see what Hines has to say about his knee, i bet everything he will say will be on ESPN this after noon.

section514
01-26-2009, 02:46 PM
ben is a great qb.

It comes down to Players vs. Players

Whiz knows us and we know him.

When he sees Cards Offense, its a mirror offense to Steelers

Fitz plays Hines possition.

They have the offense. it comes down to who can execute it better.

Press can be tiring. Won't get overly excited. Take it easy and have fun.

He is just glad to be in the pros. There was nothing given to Hines. He has earned it all. Wants to be a great ball player and he is still here for 11 years.

It can't describe how he is in the same senteces as the great WR's of Steelers past.

His knee feels 10 times better.

Troy is up

section514
01-26-2009, 02:56 PM
guys are in possition to make plays on Fitz, but haven't made them

Fitz is a great athelete, but guys are in possition and aren't making the plays.

Troy looks like he doesn't want to be there.

The linebackers are special here in Pittsburgh. Our B-list LBS are also making great plays

Pittsburgh has always been nasty. on defense,

We talk a lot of trash on our team.

Troy doesn't talk trash though, because are tired. sometimes he is too tired to make a defensive call.

Tyrone Carter is always helpin Troy.

The Cards are coming up.... No James?

I listened to a portion of it on the Sirius this afternoon as I was driving and heard the Tomlinator's address. I thought he came across very well and has a lot of faith in his guys. One thing is for certain - he is going to be working their azzes off starting on Wednesday! He wants that Lombardi trophy BAD! :applaudit::hatsoff:

Are you kidding, if he plays anything like Michael Jordan with the Flu he'll be the MVP with 6 TD passes. Happens to a lot of guys, when they are "sick" they play on an entirely different level.

Whatever it takes. Robotusin High for the Game...focussed and numb. :flap:

A line from Ben - not sure if it is from the presser or not:

People ask me that question [referring to whether Hines will play] and I want to smack them," Roethlisberger said. "It's Hines Ward, he's going to be out here. It's the Super Bowl." :tt:
