I've been a Browns fan for about 5 years now *ducks*

I've been in a serious relationship for about 4...with a Steelers fan *again, ducks*

She's huge into the Steelers, been a fan for almost her whole life. Me, personally, I'm a baseball diehard, born and bred Yankees fan. To be honest, we're raising our kids to be Steelers and Browns fans. I'm not making her change any alligiences to the Red Sox that she has, and she's not making me change from the Browns *more on that to come*. I love football, don't get me wrong, I just haven't found a team I could truly sink my teeth into.

My father rooted for the original Browns, so I somewhat followed his footsteps. But with the constant rebuilding, the B.S. surrounding the past few seasons...I'm considering committing what many might see as a cardinal sin--not only switching alliengences, but from one rival to the other.

What are people's thoughts? I'm just trying to get input, I know the decescion is mine to make, I just want to know what other people feel about the subject.....

Welcome & enjoy.

Only if she could change 2 Yankees & you take the Steelers, then it should work. :wink02: 2 B honest, I don't think anyone could say you should change from the Browns to the Steelers, as your dad being a Browns fan. Then again, it's your wife that you're gonna spend rest of your life with, not your dad. So it's your call. Besides, I think you guys are doing not bad job keeping the options open 4 your kids. Either way, you're welcome around here.

Steelers/Browns and Red Sox/Yankees????? God bless you!

Personally, I think the Sawx thing would bother me more but that's probably because the Browns haven't been competetive in a while.

Hiya blackthorne and welcome to Steelers Fever! :drink:

The best advice I can give you with regard to your predicament is to go with your gut. The gut usually never lies! Hey - if your beloved is OK with your choices, that's a good thing!:applaudit:
