Hey folks...just curious...if you had your choice of getting ANY player from another team to play for the Pittsburgh Steelers, what player would you want and why?

if i had to pick ONE...

Osi Umenyiora from the New York Giants.

because he a defensive juggernaut and a force to be reckoned with. i think he would fit well in Pittsburgh and look great in black and gold. =) i also like Jared Allen and Demarcus Ware.

if i had to pick an offensive player, i would like to see Larry Fitzgerald on our team. if not him, than someone like Wes Welker or Darren McFadden. i don't really know why i picked them. i guess i just like Welker and McFadden will be a break out next season. mark my words. =)

I LOVE Wes Welker...LOVE how he plays the game and his attitude. I have to say...it was bitter sweet for me to see him get JACKED UP by Clark LOL.. :wink02::tt03:

Welker and Tuck would be my choices.....oh, and maybe an offensive lineman so we could get rid of Willie Colon lol..none comes to mind at the moment though.

Honestly? Larry Fitzgerald. He's a really good guy as well as a great receiver. He's Steelers material.

I can't disagree with that.
Holmes/Fitzgerald would be a disgusting duo for YEARS.

Offense: Toss up between Adrian Peterson and Deangelo Williams

Defense: Patrick Willis or Nnamdi Asomugha

Nah...Tom Brady, JUST KIDDING

Couldn't agree more (as long as we draft an o-linemen in 09) :drink:

If he were a few years younger, Jeff Saturday. I'd also love to have an Olin Kreutz wearing the black 'n gold - he'd be a perfect fit.

I think Reggie Wayne would be a great fit for Air Ben. Kevin Walter of the Texans is turning into a viable target for the Texans.

defense - ed reed .....can you image him and troy both on the field ???
offense - fitzgerald ...... he's 25, and only going to get better.

I agree with REggie Wayne, him and Ben would be unstoppable, also I'd love love love to see my man Dallas Clark in the black and gold alongside Ben and Heath!

Right now? Larry Fitzgerald, just so everyone would shut up. They can have him back in a couple weeks.

Oh, and if I was making a serious pick, Brandon Jacobs. Then other teams would get their shit ruined by our offense.

I honestly want Miami's 1st and 3rd picks from last season......Jake Long and Kendall Langford. Great young linemen!!!!

I would like to see Jerome Bettis (from the commentary team :P) come back. He could still kick ass. :tt03:

Good Question!

Torn with:
Brian Dawkins (but too old)
Adrian Wilson (but as a FS)
Ed Reed (I know)
Bradon Jacobs
Deuce McCallister would make a good Steeler RB too

Hmmm. The only players I would even consider replacing on our roster though are Ike and Colon. I just can't think of anyone out there I would like on our team. The San Diego version of Cromartie? Champ?

 I can't answer. I have no idea.

Shawne Merriman, this guy will light your ass up like a damn christmas tree and he will be a force in our system.

Exactly who I'd take! Him on one side and Woodley on the other....OMG!!!!

If not him, I'd take Michael Bush from the Raiders! He's till the steal of last years draft IMO....

I can't argue with that I would take Fitz.

ricksteelers55

RB Brandon Jacobs or RB Michael Bush

QB Colt Brennan as a backup to Big Ben(im a warriors fan so...)

Ed Reed would be a bad pick.

You have to have one safety play possum for the other safety. That is why I wouldn't choose ANYONE over Clark. He plays possum, lets troy do his thing, and then comes up for the big hits over the middle.

Honestly, I would take Fitzgerald on the offense, as long as we draft a line.

I would take dansby on defense.

Anquan Boldin Once Hines Retires in a few years, Justin Tuck on the DL.

Ricky Williams (pre retirement)

That's the only way he would make this board... :flap:

I'd take Devin Hester just for punt and kick returns....save Santo only for WR responsibilities and MeMo for 3rd down rolls
