It's simple... if you could listen to only three bands for the rest of your life... what three would it be?

For me it's rather simple.

AC/DC (hands down)
Pearl Jam
Rolling Stones

(That being said I can't list more than three but I could listen to Hair Metal until the day I die and be perfectly happy).

So tell me... who are your top three?

Enya has a beautiful voice. I usually play her music or Loreena McKennitts at night as I am falling asleep. Very relaxing. Did you happen to get her Christmas cd that came out this year? The front cover is gorgeous.

I did, actually. I think "Trains and Winter Rains" is my favorite song off that CD.

Good idea..probably helps you focus more in a relaxing atmosphere. I usually listen to it at night(along with Celtic music), when I am trying to fall asleep. What other kinds of genres do you enjoy listening to?

That's a birthday for the ages. Was he as cool in person as he came across in all of his interviews?

All 7 Death albums are great. If I had to pick a favorite it would probably be Symbolic. But like I said before they're all great. One that doesn't get talked about much is Spiritual Healing. That album represents the most polished form of Death's early brutality. It rules. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2QC9KjRwY_c)

So far, I've missed out on all of LP's concerts...freaking bites. The last concert, I had a choice, fix my wife's van or go to the concert. She didn't even allow me to think about it. :flap:

I listen to a little bit of everything. When I loaded my wife's MP3 players, I hit her up with:

Boston, Chicago, Metallica, Garth Brooks, Elvis, Eminem, Reba, Guns N Roses, Def Leopard, Lynard Skynard, AC/DC, 3 Days Grace, 3 Doors Down, Avril Lavigne, pretty much all the American Idol winners, Trace Adkins, etc...

I appreciate music of all kinds. I used to play the Bass in high school and am trying to re-learn it. It's tough because it takes far more time than I remember it taking...and my kids take more time than the Bass does. :P

(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2QC9KjRwY_c)actually the concert was on the tuesday that spiriutal healing was released, so i had only heard the tape once on my way down to el paso. next thing you know i was hearing the new songs live.

chuck was awesome. it was a small show w/ about 500 people. when we walked in we went straight to the vendors table to get t-shirts, stickers, etc. and couldnt believe it. there was chuck selling their merchandise himself with the rest of the band. he stood up for a photo and they all signed our ticket stubbs.

they were the headliner. devastation and torture opend up for them. it was killer to stagedive while they were playing their set. i got on the stage right next to him and looked over before jumping to kinda soak in the moment. he was loving it and just kinda smiled and nodded/head banged as he was playing.:guitar:

what a rush!

i agree with you on "spiritual healing" although i think "leprosy" would be my favorite. "scream bloody gore" is an all time classic.

sad he had to die. i saw a year or 2 ago a website where his mom is still corresponding with his fans and keeping his memory alive. she seemed pretty proud of him. :jammin: :beerbang:

thanks for the link. im jammin! ("low life" was my favorite track and next on the playlist)

A friend of mine in Sacramento is going to see them tonight - she'll call me from the show so that I can hear a song or two  They ROCK!

I love Heart too...'Alone' is one of my all time favorite songs....love the lyrics.

Me, too - but that's a hard song to sing! I can't believe they've been around in one incarnation or another since about 1975. Nancy Wilson is a very underrated guitarist!

It is a difficult song to sing~ did you happen to watch American Idol the year Carrie Underwood was a contestant? She sang it and did a fantastic job! If you didn't, you can watch her performance on youtube. Yep, they have been around forever...such great musicians. Love the lyrics to that song.
