Nate Washington

Ht./Wt.: 6-1, 185

Position: Wide receiver

College: Tiffin (Ohio)

Notable: Washington established career highs this season in receptions (40) and receiving yards (631), and he led the Steelers in yards per catch (15.8).

Washington made the Steelers' longest catch of the regular season against the New York Giants, when he hauled in a 65-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. His 50-yard catch against the Washington Redskins turned out to be one of the pivotal plays of the game. It set up a Steelers' touchdown on the first possession of the second half, and it came after Roethlisberger had been knocked out of the game with a shoulder injury.

Washington made a successful transition from a Division II school to the NFL. He is yet another undrafted free agent that has become a key contributor for the Steelers.

What is your favorite sports movie of all time?

"It would probably be 'The Program.' "

Who has the best nickname on the team?

"We just gave Hines (Ward) a new name, Papa Smurf. He's the older one out of us, so if we were the Smurfs, he'd be Papa Smurf."

What is your dream vacation?

"I really want to visit the Fiji Islands."

What are the last three songs you added to you iPod?

"Albums would be Plies, Keisha Cole and Musiq Soul Child."

If I were commissioner for a day I would...?

"I would try to answer the unanswered questions about the officiating. I think I would have a say in what's going on instead of giving a head official all the say. I think I would have to step in and say, 'OK, this is what it is, and this is what it's going to be.' "

What is your earliest memory of the Super Bowl?

"I think it was '95 when Dallas won. I was a huge Dallas fan, and now that I'm here, it just sticks out so vivid in my brain."
