I was 12 when we won our last one of the 70's. We didn't win another until I was 38.

Guys.....this is not the usual...2 Super Bowl Titles in 4 years.

Cherish this win.

Yep, I was also 12 for SB XIV. Don't take this for granted, kids.

I was 19 in 1979. I never dreamed we would have to wait this long. Savor the moment indeed.

I am ONE darn privelaged kid to have seen our Steelers get to 3 SBs in my lifetime, and win 2. I'm 22.

GO STEELERS!

I am just a couple years younger... and yeah, cherish this one. I didn't cherish it in 80, and it was a LONG time in between

I was 12 in 74 and was just telling my 9 yearold all about the fantastic feeling of 2 + 2 more and he said "Now I need 2 more"......

That's right.

I'm definitely not taking this for granted. I was 7 when the Steelers won Super Bowl XIV. I never thought it would take 26 years to win another one.

I was 7 in '74. 4 in 6 was awesome, after 79-80 I didn't think it would take 25 years to get back.
Still have the 80's mentally blocked.:helmet:

So enjoy it while we can, never know when or if we make it back.

yea 19, I remember throwing a bowl of salsa at the wall after watching them lose to those damn cowboys. And throwing scissors at the wall after tom brady beat us in the playoffs for the first time. But the last 5 years, they have been sweet. And after watchng the game with a bunch of cards games, this win is just so much more satisfying!! :tt02::tt03::drink::tt::helmet:

This is exactly what I told my 14 year old sister (i'm 25). There are fans who NEVER get to see their team take a Lombardi home. We've been fortunate enough to see it twice in our lifetime!

Agreed, I remember back in the 80's-90' wondering if we were ever going to get back to the SB. Don't take them for granted!

really though I think that is why we keep going back, we really never take them for granted. Everyone is sweet!

Unfortunately I could not witness the greatness during the 70s. We are very blessed to have a six pack now and no question I will cherish our latest Super Bowl victory. Very exciting to be the first team to 6 Lombardis.

No sir, I'm not letting this moment slip by. I'm 19 and I obviously wasn't alive in the 70's. My parents always told me stories of the 70's Steelers. All those painful losses in the AFC Championship games under Cowher makes me appreciate this win all the more. I'm going to cherish this for the rest of my life. I'm going to the parade, I'm going to take photos. The works.

Two Super Bowl Titles in Four years? Is this what the 70's felt like? The 2004-2008 Steelers have started a lineage of their own..

My stomach is still in knots, but finally it's in a good way... I'm not feeling ill anymore :chuckle:. I'm still like a little kid that is in Disney World for the first time... I'm just struck and so happy!

Their last Super Bowl was the first game I made my boyfriend watch when I moved here three years ago - I'm happy that he's not only become a huge fan of the Steelers (he never got into pro-ball, only college) but last night he was cheering and yelling as much as me. It didn't bring us together (football) but we're tighter than ever as a result of it - it's nice to finally date a guy, that loves the team as much as me (and you know have a stable relationship too -).

CHERISH THIS WIN AND SEASON I WILL! Especially since I hadn't been born yet for the first two Super Bowls (1976, I was born in December)... And I was only 2 years old for the 1979 game). Being raised in a Redskins home, we didn't watch Steelers football... I didn't really make my way into loving them until a year or two before their 1996 Super Bowl, thankfully I didn't let that game hurt my feelings about the Steelers, they only grew stronger! I'm cherishing this one and the 2006 SO much!

I can barely remember the ones in the 70's (I was only 3 when they won the first one and 8 when they when the won the last one of the 70's. I remember a few key plays (mostly what they show on the highlight reels otday), but I did cherish the last one in 05 (as that was the year my baby girl was born), and this one has even more meaning.

I missed my opportunity to be at the game, but I shared in this moment with the local family and it was wonderful.

I'm also trying my best not to let the Haters and Smack talkers ruin my mood... I've had a few friends come back to my celebrating trying to rub the Steelers name in the dirt... we cheated, etc... GIVE ME A BREAK! Some people just can't be a bigger person and congratulate a team on a game well played - even when their team isn't the loser!

This^^^

I was 13 after the 79 win. I thought we were suppose to win every year. It as the mid 80s before I realized different. Definitly cherish this.

Like Dan arino once said "I wasnt real worried about it when we lost the SB, it was ny my second year and we were a very good team. I was sure I would be back several more times."

But I believe Ben has at least 2 or 3 more in his future with the Steelers.
