1. First team to win SIX Super Bowls.

2. Youngest coach to ever win a SB.

3. Longest play in SB history. FWP also holds the longest run in XL.

4. Coach of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year.

5. Top Ranked Defense in the regular season.

6. There is a "New Drive" with Rothlisberger to Holmes.

One more SB and we can see Ward and Holmes pointing their fingers up as #1 the way Swann and Stallworth did. We are truly blessed and Steeler Nation is grateful.

Anyone else feel that this one is bigger than XL? I mean...XL was great...but this one...feels freaking Awesome...it validates the entire Franchise...

I don't know...maybe I'm just crazy.

This one is absolutely amazing. I feel as if the post-season itself (wildcard, disivional and championship games themselves) were bigger, but this Super Bowl was just amazing.

You just have to look at our schedule this year to know that this is an amazing team. Nobody thought we'd do this.

One of the most brutal schedules in NFL history.

The 2008 Steelers are one of the all-time great teams.

XL was done on the road and XLIII was done at home. But the schedule was the toughtest and injuries during the year didn't help. "We are deep", "We are fast" and "We are a 60 minute team"

We had to beat the Ravens 3 times to get there, had to beat the "cinderallaesk" Chargers to get there, had to beat the Cinderella Cardinals to get there, had to beat our old O coach, had to beat Grimm...had to play for 60 full minutes and win it with a fumble on the last play...what a game.

Woodley...2 Sacks...think he's the only one to ever have 2 Sacks in every Post Season game he's ever played in.

I think this one is much more special that Super Bowl XL. So many plays that were MVP ones and Ben what can I say people do not give him enough credit for what he does. He may not have all the numbers of some QB's but he damn sure knows how to win and I guess he will have to win 3 more super bowls like Terry B in order to get the respect he deserves.

The evolution and maturity of BB and Holmes took place right before our eyes on the biggest stage in the world.

The blueprint on how to win championships was written in Pittsburgh. The best team in the best sport, what an achievement. Thank you Mr. Rooney.

maybe-so.... the franchise was 'validated' (whatever that means) in January 1980, when it won it's 4th Lombardi Trophy at a time when nobody-else had acquired 3

^^^ Totally agree.

To me, XL was special because it broke the Superbowl drought. Before XL, I got to watch 1 AFCCG loss, SB XXX loss, then 3 more AFCCG losses. XL made me feel like the Steelers were back from the '70s.

And then just as the memories of XL started to fade, we win XLIII. Yes, we are for real, and we're here to stay. :tt03:
