Don't want this to turn into a big argument but prolly will..

I'm just curious of what are your arguments that the refs gave us the game? I'll give you ONE call, the roughing the passer on Ben and even THAT call was close. So please explain which of the 11 penatlies you had shouldn't of been called...

Just seems like you guys need something to bitch about and NEVER explain why the refs "gave the steelers the game".

nows your chance.

They will not have any base for their reasoning because it's all SOUR GRAPES!

Just ask Holmgren.

I agree, I actually thought that finally it was decent.

Holding calls:

Please argue for a habit of not calling. Holding happens, a lot, almost every play. Unless you can argue that it was never called on blatant holds (ala Harrison holds up to this game not being called), please don't point that out.

I think it was a very good called game. On both sides.

Please don't get this started. I'm an an argument with a bunch of fans on a Saints' board they're all pissing and moaning how lopsided the officiating was. You would have thought the Cards played in New Orleans the way these cats are carrying on.

Lopsided?

Final score: Steelers 27, Cards 23.

Penalties/yards: Steelers 7/56, Cards 11/106

Take away the 3 unsportsmanlike conduct penalties on the single drive for the Cards (all perfectly legit, BTW, but for the sake of this idiotic argument, we'll take them away) and the resulting FG for that drive, and the numbers look more like this:

Final score: Steelers 24, Cards 23.

Penalties/yards: Steelers 7/56, Cards 8/61- that difference represents a frigging offsides call.

They need to stop bitching. And then they need to adjust their tampons and get a clue. :coffee:

Hmmmm...I see 11 penalties to 7. That's not all that lopsided.

Anbody bitching about the reffing can get back to me when to me when it's 13-2 (like the San Diego game).

The officials did not affect the outcome of this game.

It was a fair game, the steelers got penalized on everything they should have been penalized on and vice versa--they still won.

I was very impressed with the Steelers offensive front line that game more than anything -- not to take away from the impressive defense.

I still argue that the safety was bull, and that Ben was in. But who cares, WE WON!!!

4 the first time in my life, I thought the refs were as fair as anyone ever could be. Even if we had lost I wouldn't have a said a thing about the refs fairness.

Who the FCK Calls a holding on the Center in the Endzone on a 3rd and 10 play that goes for 15 yards and pretty much seals up the game.

Not the Refs that are in the Bag for the Steelers, that's for dang sure.

Some bitch about the calls in that game but, the cards still had chances to win. All they had to do was stop us on that game winning drive when we went drove 88 yards for the go ahead score. Like many I'm sick of hearing about the stupid calls. Good teams find a way to win and, thats the bottom line.

The refs did a pretty good job overall. There were a few calls that seemed to go your way, but not to the point where it looked intentional. I didn't care for the ending tho. I still say Tom Brady would have gotten the tuck rule on that play. :noidea:

Trollboy, you're on crack if you think a few calls went "our way," without mentioning that some went "your way." Was that a deliberate omission on your part?

Take your whininess back to your own board.

It's called being a delusional fan. Woodley clearly hit the ball in his hand before his arm was going foward. Why did this happen? Well, it was the first time the Cards tried to throw deep all game. Why? Desperation time. Your coach there WIZ KNEW exactly how long it takes for our LB's to get to the QB, all the plays were geared to keep this from happening, but when you need a TD and you have 55 yards to go, a 3 yard quick pass isn't going to do the job. There could have been 10 holding penalties called on Gandy. Bottom line, your defense let you down, and unfortunately 31 teams end their season with a L, only ONE gets the final W.

Ya know, this is what you Seatle... eeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrr, The GRINCH, eeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ,Arizona CLONES/FANS do, you spin it as to think it's going to TARNISH or LESSEN how we feel about the championship. As a matter of fact, IT MAKES IT ALL THAT MUCH SWEETER. Because we know how much it bothers you. :banging:

You can try and take the Christmas Tree and Presents away, Mr. Grinch but you can't take away YET ANOTHER SUPER BOWL WIN!!! HOW SWEET IT IS! :tt02:
