Is in the Pro Bowl? Really? 7 games played with 5 TD's and 10 INT's? I just flashback to all the commentators saying that Ben had the wins but not the stats to make the Pro Bowl. Also these quarterbacks made the roster before Mr. Clutch:
1. Peyton Manning
2. Brett Favre
3. Jay Cutler
4. Philip Rivers
5. Kerry Collins

I'll take Superbowls over pro bowls anyday! But that goes without saying. Enjoy the pro bowl Hasselbeck!

Pro Bowl = joke.

Hopefully they change pro bowl voting so its after at least the regular season.

And get rid of the fan voting entirely.

Even the stats don't back it up anymore. It's a popularity contest and if they can hit all the major markets, then they can sell all the commericals. It's coming to Miami next year the week before the SB. Let's give it a chance and it will be huge for Miami to have the PB and the SB in consecutive weeks. Unfortunately, traffic is already bad here and will be brutal during those two weeks.

One more thing about stats. Baseball is more conducive to stats whereas football can be played against the odds. Especially when some new kind of method is invented. Baseball has remained virtually unchanged for the last 40 years, not including steriods.

When I was growing up I collected baseball and football cards, with 1979 being my favorite year when we owned both major sports. On the back of a BB card we would look at batting averages, Ks, HRs. On the back of football cards we would look at how many years a player was in the league, if he played on another team besides the Steelers, and what college he went to. And sometimes completion percentage and TDs. But none of that mattered because Bradshaw never burned up the stats, there was no such thing as the internet or Fantasy Football. All that mattered was we had 4 SBs and beat the Cowboys twice.

Ben is heading for the tropical beach of his choice this week.

If I were in Ben's shoes, I wouldn't even be thinking about the game right now. Just chillin', keeping it real. Yo. :tt:
