The truth has been hidden by governments for more than 60 years, the Moon walker says.

During a radio interview he said: "I happen to have been privileged enough to be in on the fact that we've been visited on this planet and the UFO phenomena is real.

Dr Mitchell, who was on Apollo 14 in 1971, has told how he was aware of many UFO visits to Earth during his career with Nasa but each one was covered up.

"It's been well covered up by all our governments for the last 60 years or so, but slowly it's leaked out and some of us have been privileged to have been briefed on some of it.

"I've been in military and intelligence circles, who know that beneath the surface of what has been public knowledge, yes - we have been visited. Reading the papers recently, it's been happening quite a bit."

He's not the only one...

Space pioneer Gordon Cooper dies: Cooper believed in UFO coverup

In his post-NASA career, Cooper became known as an outspoken believer in UFOs and charged that the government was covering up its knowledge of extraterrestrial activity.

"I believe that these extraterrestrial vehicles and their crews are visiting this planet from other planets, which obviously are a little more technically advanced than we are here on Earth" he told a United Nations panel in 1985.

"I feel that we need to have a top-level, coordinated program to scientifically collect and analyze data from all over the Earth concerning any type of encounter, and to determine how best to interface with these visitors in a friendly fashion"

He added, "For many years I have lived with a secret, in a secrecy imposed on all specialists and astronauts. I can now reveal that every day, in the USA, our radar instruments capture objects of form and composition unknown to us"

Told ya! :chuckle:

Don't see why there wouldn't be.

If you believe in evolution you would be both naive and elitist to think that life only occurred at one time in the history, in once place, in the infinite universe!

If you believe in Creation, why would God make an infinitely expansive universe and only put anything on one little speck?

I'm fine with there being another life form out there... so long as they don't go all Fire in the Sky on my @ss... LITERALLY!!!!

ET can visit me all he likes...

Oh sure, you make fun now.

But when the slaveships arrive after the armada has done it's job I will be getting a job in the breeding pens as slavemaster.

So there.

Earth chicks are easy meat.

As long as all Aliens look like Diana from 'V', then I'll be happy for a little 'experimentation'!

Tried to post a picture. The X-Files screen that reads "the truth is out there". Best guess: this site doesn't support gif images.

Also: Nice "V" ref. Loved that series/movie as a kid. Actually thought about buying it recently.

Points for representing the 80's. I remember a few years ago, they were showing it on the SCIFI network.

Yup, true old school.

On a sort of related note, just re-watched "Wrath of Kahn" and have to say it stands up pretty well.

I think you must be extremely ignorant and naive if you dont believe in UFO's. A month back I was doing a Hospital transfer in hackensack NJ to a nursing place by morristown nj and when I was hanging out after that transport I noticed this triangular red light pattern on the sky, I got suspicious but I was like Ehh prolly antennas since theres a small airport near by and It was from a distance(By where Brett Favre is currently residing haha). Anyway I kinda had it in the back of my head for a while and ignored and never shared it because ill seem as if Im insane till my sister showed me this video as if it was breaking news, and it felt a little creepy, since I have never witnessed such a thing, but its caught the national attention already.
And supposedly this has been sighted a couple of times, I sighted it on Jan 5th.

and did anyone else notice the UFO at the Obama inaguration?
