What does the "commemerative" cover look like?

I didn't see that one yet? I picked up the Holmes catching the pass one - awesome cover!

I don't have it with me, and only looked at it for a second so I'm not positive, but I know it has Big Ben on the cover. He's either breaking a tackle, throwing a pass, or celebrating with his linemen (I know probably doesn't help haha) but anyway, its Big Ben lol

I ordered my hardbound commemorative issue, and 3 copies of the newsstand issue directly from SI. $5 each for the magazines w/ free shipping.

Tired of driving around trying to find someplace that has it here, it's what I did every day for two weeks after SB XL.

Too bad I didn't know until today you can order individual SI issues directly from them, because they are now sold out of the AFC Champ issue w/ Troy on the cover. :(

I'm in Madison, Wisconsin - can't seem to find the Sports Illustrated with Ben on the cover. Can you buy this online, I checked the si.com site and couldn't find where to buy individual magazines.

I picked up the Holmes SI issue already and will probably buy the hard cover book, but I'd like to get the SI with Ben.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

What's the difference between the one with Ben on the cover and Holmes on the cover?

Why would you order three copies?

Easy...one to read and cut pictures out of to hang in my office, one to frame on the wall in my Sports Room, and one to store in mint condition for posterity!

Doesn't everybody do that???

What's the difference between the one with Ben on the cover and Holmes on the cover?

If it's anything like what SI did for SB XL or when the DBacks won the WS in 2001, the Santonio cover issue is just the normal weekly edition of SI, whereas the commemorative issue with Ben on the cover is ENTIRELY dedicated to the Steelers and will have more in-depth articles and season/playoff recaps than just the SB recap in the regular issue. It's worth it for sure to get both editions!

Did you frame the whole magazine? I was trying to find something cool to do with my SI's because I have them all from this postseason and still have all of them from the 05 postseason run

i actually pull the front cover off...and the back cover is still attached and then i frame that with the cardboard behind it so it stays in place. a 8.5x11 inch frame works perfectly. an 8x10 is good, but there are no gaps and spaces. i prefer the first one.

then i take the guts of the book and clip out all of the Steeler pics for a giant collage i'm making for next years kick off and Fantasy Football live draft. no point in keeping the mag if you read it and if you want to save just the cover.

i can't find a frame that could fit a whole mag. i think they'd be too thick.

grow a set and do it man...it's just paper! the framed cover is WAY cooler than trying to cram a whole magazine into a small frame and hang it. trust me, they look A LOT better when it doesn't look like Mike Holmgrens bib after rib night! =)

go so www.sicovers.com and you can get 11x14 of every issue the Steelers graced the cover of. i want to do that...but only with a few covers.

haha yea I definitely thought about goin to sicovers but it just seems like $20 is a bit nuts. But I'm sure someday I will. I was thinking about buying the cover from each of their super bowl wins and hanging them all up together

i just started this year. but i'll get every issue they are on from here on out. =)

i also collect the Gameday programs they give out at the games for $5. i keep those and the ticket stubs. i've only been to two games, but i have about 10 of the programs. they make good quick reading material.

i want to get the SIcovers too...but $20 is too steep for a 11x14 poster. i could scan and reprint on at Staples for 30cents. haha!

Get a document frame with a cardboard spacer inside it. Remove the spacer and the magazine should fit. I have two issues framed without having to rip it apart. It doesn't fit very easily, but it can be done.

for $20 you might as well just buy the old issues from ebay or a memorabilia shop and just cut the covers off. as long as they're not ripped or something.
