ok, I'm saying the Mannings and the Rooneys are 1 and 2, I suppose either order is ok, I mean, Steeler fan or not, ya got to admit, back to back Super Bowl MVP QBs is quite impressive. THEN every one else mentioned. I mean, c'mon,,,the Hasselbeck ?

Holmgren paid the NFL off so he could beat Pittsburgh at something.

Hmmm. If that's gonna keep Seachickens fans happy & off our backs, I'm OK with it. They can fantasize anything they want behind their desks.

Hasselbeck ahead of the Rooneys? What the hell is that all about? Mannings? They only have one great player. Papa Manning sucked and Eli had just 3 or 4 good games in his career. Also how do you put Chad and Keyshawn Johnson in the league. They both a re highly overrated and how do you consider that a football family.

Art Rooney named one of his sons after his bookie - Tim Mara. That's good enough for me to put the Giants' first family on the list.

Elizabeth makes the Hasselbecks worthy. :wink02:

Hard to dispute the Mannings, 3 qb's in the family, all pro bowlers?

Hasselbecks? I thought it was a football list? lol

It's all about TV ratings. We should just have a Steelers channel to put all the haters away.

Sadly that's probably why the Hasselbecks are at #3

I disgree about ratings. The Steelers have received huge ratings this year from televised games and in fact years past, which on the east coast was every single week in in the nj/ny area from a televised standpoint. Far more than the colts, and in fact the giants as well and this is their home area.

Archie far from sucked. He did play for the Saints. started a good 12 years, made the probowl twice. Not HOf material, but still a decent QB for that time.
College HOF and a pretty decent guy. His son's are not slouches either regardless of our dislikes for chokeable players, lol

Archie may very well have been a HoFer if he played for another team. Maybe even any other team.

I have to agree, Archie wa a good qb. Hasselbeck's dad was a pretty decent player, with a super bowl ring and everything to show for it. But THREE??? Puh-huh-huh-LEEZE. I don't see how one2 above average players and 1 VERY sub-average player makes a football family that is greater the the Rooneys.

I enjoyed the segment on Tiki and Ronde Barber.

If there was a HOF for Super Sperm, he would definantly get right in on that one.. First ballot!

The problem is that the criteria wasn't really defined. Seemed the focus was much more on on-field contributions than contributions to the league.

The Johnsons???? That's the ridiculous one.

I also enjoyed the Barbers, but twins should only count as one. :chuckle:

They didn't even make the list. Makes the list look even dumber.

He did, in addition to the saints, Archie also played for the Houston Oilers. He ran for his life constantly there too. I agree, if put in a better situation, he could have been a HOFer.

By the way, were Joel and Jack Youngblood included in that list?:noidea:

I dont think they are related. I always thought they were brothers also. But during Super Bowl week when they replayed xiv the announcers made it a point to say afer Joe made a play that he and Jack were not related.

On an unrelated note I had a friend of mine who is an Eagle fan, tell me that he thought the Rooneys were the best owners in all of sports. That is huge for an Eagle fan.

Throw in that stupid Boston accent and there is really no reason for them to be on the list at all.

Well after the top ten LB groups of all time and the 70s Steelers were not #1 I lost all faith in those NFL Network top ten lists. IMO the Rooneys should be #1.

Correct, JIM and Jack Youngblood are not related. Their birthdays are less than a month apart for one thing. LOL That'd be a bitch of a labor for twins, I'll tell you what!
