Reader Appreciation Day: Steelers fans

Monday is a special day in the AFC North blog. We are dedicating it to the best divisional fans in the NFL.

Let's get started with a special thanks to those wearing black and gold.

Dear Pittsburgh Steelers fans,

After covering the Steelers closely from training camp to the Super Bowl, I am convinced you all are the most die-hard, loyal and passionate fans in the NFL. You may be the best fans in all of sports.:tt03::tt::tt02::applaudit:

Steeler Nation was everywhere. I saw you in Jacksonville. I saw you in Washington D.C. I saw you in Tampa. I feel like, at any moment, a Steeler fan will knock on my front door asking if James Harrison will get a contract extension. And there's nothing wrong with that. You are all cool with me.

Your organization is filled with class. The Steelers do things the right way and is deserving of your rabid admiration. The players and coaches publicly gives props to Steeler Nation at every chance. You don't see that often. The love is an open, two-way street between the team and its supporters.

It was a great year for Steelers fans, capped by another championship. Thanks for checking the AFC North blog often and helping us become a huge success.

Yours Truly,

James Walker

Walker is pretty good. I believe he cut his teeth covering the Cincinati Bungles (which incedently makes him also qualifies to be a crime reporter). I read his AFN Blog frequently, as well as those of the oppossing divisional bloggers - when the Steelers are playing a team from their division - and I have to say I think he is the best of the lot.
