Pittsburgh City Council has reissued a proclamation naming the city Sixburgh in honor of the Steelers' sixth Super Bowl win because last week's ceremonial announcement contained a statistical error.

The proclamation noted the 27-23 win over the Arizona Cardinals featured the first safety in a Super Bowl. The Cardinals scored two points when a Steelers offensive lineman was called for holding while quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was in the end zone.

Fans who wanted to frame the proclamation were annoyed by the gaffe especially since the Steelers were responsible for the first safety in a Super Bowl.

in addition to steelers vs. vikings, i believe it was bruce smith who also sacked hostettler for a safety in sb 25.

Because they're politicians, not rocket scientists. :chuckle:

Dumb asses. All it took was a little research on their part.

Regardless of the inaccuracy, what was the point of highlighting one of the Cardinals' scores in our proclamation?
