I read that in my newspaper yesterday, that is an amazing story, it really lets you know that amid so much animosity there are still good people and that people are naturally good I have so much respect for the Dekalb coach

Nice to see a human story with class for a change. Kudos all around. :tt:

I read this story yesterday as well and got kind of choked up by it. I know all too well what the kid is going through - I too lost my mother very unexpectedly from complications due to abdominal surgery when I was still quite young (21 years old - my mother was only 49 years old at the time) and the shock and disbelief are almost as bad as the grief.

Wow, I hadn't seen that. That's an awesome display of sportsmanship!

What an incredibly beautiful story (that had such a tragic beginning). One of the most heartwarming outpouring of love and humanity I've ever read. This is one of those stories that touches every fiber of your being.
God Bless this young man and everyone who put their hearts above their heads on a night that had to be the most difficult night of this young man's life. :drink: May he find comfort in the love of his friends and family and may his Mom forever :tombstone:

In the midst of all the crap we hear about sports - we get a few feel good stories that let us know that there are still a few men and women that care about character than they do wins and losses.
