View Full Version : Your Favorite?

If you could select one player from any era of NFL players, who would be your favorite?

It would be a hard decision for me and I dont know if I fully have the correct answer for myself, but I am gonna try.

One of If Not my favorites would have had to be DE Reggie White. The NFL's all-time Sack leader was a great football player and a great Christian man. I dont think you can go wrong with that at all. The guy played every game like it was his last and was a family man.

Lets hear your choices and reasons..:coffee:

Mine would have to be Rod Woodson. I grew up watching him play ball and he was my "idol" back then.

On a side note, watching Chuck Cecil lay the lumber was always entertaining. Too bad he played for the clowns.

We've done this thread a bazillion times, but it's the offseason, so we'll do it again.

I assume you mean non-Steelers here? If not, Jack Ham is my favorite all-time Steeler.

NFL Player - Jim Kelly. Can't say much more other than I absolutely loved everything about him - gritty, great QB (but sadly no ring after 4 tries), team-first guy and a wonderful husband and father. His son, Hunter, was diagnosed with a rare and fatal disease at birth and sadly passed away several years ago.

Oh, if we're going Non-Steelers...

Dan Marino. There's just something about that man and the way he carried himself (at least from what I've heard) and watching him last summer in the Pittsburgh airport as people asked for autographs just amazed me. Of course I think in Pittsburgh not many people bother him because they know he's a native.

as a kid, it was oj simpson, which isnt suprising because he was 1 of the most popular players of the time.

but i'm with htg. jim kelly was a modern day bradshaw to me (and his team was chock full of great players).

i never missed a game with him, warren moon, barry sanders, or brett favre if it were televised.

Franco Harris. He grew up near where I live and I remember reading a book about him when I was a kid. He overcame alot and never forgot his roots.
I cant really think of any non steelers at the moment lol. The others never really mattered that much

As a kid I loved Greg Lloyd he is my favorite Steeler I loved watching him as a kid... but if we are going with a non Steeler I would have to say Barry Sanders because he was almost mythical to watch he was shifty fast and nearly untouchable.
