View Full Version : Lower Division Prospects

The majority of a lot of the mock drafts that I see are composed of Division I-A players. I thought it might be useful to start a thread where posters could list lower division college football players that could be good players for Steelers to draft. These include Division I Football Championship Subdivision (I-AA), Division II, Division III, NAIA.

I thought it would be nice, but its so hard to get scouting reports of them unless they blow up the competition, but hey look at Kevin Boss of the Giants and Steve Mcnair

This is awesome. The reason I was curious about smaller schools is, for all of the success Steelers have had in drafting, the FO seems to have, with some exceptions (Coclough, Colon), focused on I-A prospects. Other teams have been able to draft small school prospects in the later rounds and be successful (Miami with Kendall Langford and Giants with Boss, etc). I know the competition is not I-A caliber, but I wonder if our dearth of late round drafting talent would be solved if we cast more of a net in this pool.
