With offensive tackle John Tait contemplating his retirement, the Chicago Bears moved quickly in the first hours of free agency and reached a four-year, $14 million deal with Carolina Panthers offensive tackle Frank Omiyale, according to a source.
In his four years in the NFL, Omiyale, 26, has only started one game. He spent two years in Atlanta and two years in Carolina.
The 6-4, 310-pound tackle played 10 games for the Panthers last year.
