T.J. on way to Minnesota

The Vikings may make a big splash, after all.

Free-agent receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh is expected to travel from Seattle to the Twin Cities today for a visit with the Vikings.

Houshmandzadeh is considered the top free-agent receiver, and he would be an ideal complement to Bernard Berrian, who’s speed makes him one of the league’s top deep threats.

Although 31, Houshmandzadeh has at least 90 catches in each of his last three seasons, and he also has 25 touchdowns during that span. His best season was in 2007, when he caught 112 passes for 1,143 yards, with 12 touchdowns.

Houshmandzadeh spent his previous eight seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals. He is a one-time Pro Bowl selection (2007). During an interview with ESPN on Thursday night, Houshmandzadeh specifically mentioned the Vikings.

"I'm looking at teams that I think have good coaches, that I think have good offensive lines and good running games," he said Thursday night on ESPN's SportsCenter. "I'll just throw out the teams that I told (my agent) that I would be interested in. I have no idea if these teams are interested in me yet. I told him I'd be interested in going to Philly, I told him I'd be interested in going to New York, Seattle, Minnesota.

"If I could play with Adrian Peterson? Can you imagine what I would do, beating 1-on-1 coverage playing with Adrian Peterson?"

I wonder if Captain Cornhole is trying to push the Bungles management to sign someone now.

They picked up two recievers in the first three rounds last year....Since Stacy Andrews just signed with the Eagles...I think the good cap'n will be asking for an O-lineman to help keep his face out of the turf.:chuckle:

Browns: Winslow gone, Rogers wants out

Bengals: Stacy Andrews is gone, TJ Shoebomber is likley gone

Ravens: Brown gone, Scott gone, might even lose Lewis

I am liking the offseason for the rest of the division.

I think T.J. will make a big difference in Minnesota if he goes there. The guy is the best reciever the Bengals have and they are just letting him go with nothing in return. Just shows how smart that org really is.
The Vikings have just got to find a real field general to lead that team. They have a good running game and a super bowl defense with a little help from the offense, so QB is a must..

As I've said multiple times, TJ is going to get a HUGE reality check the minute he leaves the Bengals.

If you will notice, IBoinkedMyMama is looking at NFC teams - looks like he wants to stay out of the AFC and particularly the AFCN, the big PUSS. :crying01:

The Vikings need a real WR. Problem is that not even Andre Johnson can make Rosenfels look good..........whosyourmama isnt gonna help that much.

I think he signs with the Vikings. He even sais that he would love playing with AP because that would leave him in 1 on 1 coverage and he responded, " Could you imagine me in 1 on 1 coverage?"

It doesn't matter where he lands. When we cross paths, the Steelers secondary is more than capable of shutting him down........and jacking him up. :chuckle:

I love all the Nicknames you guys give him:laughing: According to the sporting news he is going to make his decision by tonight. Vikings, Seahawks, Bengals, and Giants are what he is down to. Im hoping he re-ups with the Bengals because I enjoy seeing us get a chance to jack him up twice a year.:tt02:

I got a brilliant Idea, he should sign with a NFC North team so that way he can get his ass kicked by at least 1 team again this year.
