Redskins | Haynesworth indicted on misdemeanor charges
Thu, 12 Mar 2009 11:15:20 -0700

The Associated Press reports Washington Redskins DT Albert Haynesworth has been indicted on two misdemeanor charges in Tennessee after he was involved in a traffic accident that seriously injured another driver. He faces a reckless driving charge and having an expired registration. The maximum punishment for reckless driving is six months in jail and a $500 fine and 30 days and a $50 fine for the expired registration charge.

I guess money can't buy happiness.

He's just one cocaine bust away from being the quickest high-dollar bust in the history of football.

The happened in Dec 08, but he was just indicted today. I don't remember hearing this before now either. How is reckless driving that results in serious injuries a misdemeanor??? I guess as long as you're not drinking it's OK to drive like an azzhole in Tennesee ??? I wonder if he would have been indicted at all if he resigned with the Titans??

Even if this was before he got the 100 mil, Haynesworth should've had more than enough money to renew his tags.

What an idiot.

A shrewd attorney representing the victim is gonna have a field day with Haynesworth and his big fat wallet. Get ready to take it in the seat Big Al.

I agree with ya Big Ed, I just dont understand some people like that. Its kind of like Willie Nelson a few years back when he hadnt been paying his taxes.. how can someone with that kind of money not have someone taking care of things like that for them? Now, I know that WIllie Nelson doesnt have the money probably that Haynesworth has now, but come on people... do your part in society and pay your dues
