He's usually on the receiving end when it comes to awards, but Friday night, Super Bowl Champion Pittsburgh Steelers Coach Mike Tomlin was helping to hand them out.

The Soul Gala celebrated the Hill House Association's 45 years of community service.

Honorary Chairs Mike and Kiya Tomlin couldn't have been more proud to be apart of the Beacon of Hope Awards.

"My wife and I, we take this very seriously being a part of this community and specifically the work that the Hill House does for the Hill District. We have an appreciation for that and we're glad to lend our time in an effort to raise funds for that," Mike Tomlin said.

Ten individuals and corporations were recognized for their contributions to the Hill House and the Hill District community, which Hill House President Evan Frazier says is crucial to the success of the programs.

"We serve from young kids all the way to the seniors. So we like to think of ourselves as a multi-generational program that helps to provide deep needed services. There's a lot of people who are hurting given the economy and everything that we're facing today," Hill House Association President Evan Frazier said.

All of the proceeds will benefit the Hill House Association.
